Looking for a smaller resort hotel where you won’t be lost after check in? Mar Del Cabo, part of Grand Velas resort next door, is a quiet world enclosed in blue and white tile and bougain villas blowing in the sea breezes. The rooms are cool, quiet, and well appointed, the restaurant features a menu of traditional and updated dishes, meals tasted better than at the giant resort next door, and the grounds had everything we were looking for: a large pool, a grassy knoll overlooking the water, and direct access to the beach area with umbrellas and lounges, hammocks, and day beds available.
