5 Tips to plan your wedding in Los Cabos

As we said, the main idea is to have a stress-free planning. That’s why we have 5 simple tips to make the whole organization of your big day is achieved in a simple way by following a few simple steps.

Practically you only need to follow these 5 steps as best as possible so that everything goes perfectly:

  1. Prepare everything with time
  2. Choose date and place
  3. Guest List
  4. Seeks legal advice (make sure you have all the necessary papers)
  5. The banquet, the decoration, the details.

There is no way that something will go wrong if you intend to organize everything according to what these steps say. So to really make it an unforgettable day, let’s talk more in detail about what each of these tips means.

1. Prepare everything with time

It may sound like a very obvious tip, but you won’t believe how important it really is.

Most brides are usually not aware that a wedding is not something that can be planned in a week.

In fact, as stated above, planning your wedding is something you must do with a lot of patience so that you don’t miss any details, and that’s why you should start planning the event months in advance.

Most weddings are usually planned a year or a little less in advance. However, if you are in a bit of a hurry, the minimum time you must leave planning for your wedding is 3 months and at the risk that some detail will be overlooked, or even at the risk that your decisions will not be according to your tastes but according to what is available.

Especially if you are going to make your wedding in a place as demanded as Los Cabos. Getting reservations for all the services you will need for that day just 3 months in advance is not impossible, but it will be a little more complicated.

That’s why the first and greatest advice for you to start planning the big day is to prepare everything with time. And this will give you many advantages:

  • Get the wedding date you want.
  • Get reservations for banquet services, decoration, etc. without any problem.
  • Get reservations at the hotel you want.
  • Plan trials of dress, makeup, etc. so that everything goes perfectly.
  • Receive confirmation from most guests in time to adjust your budget and make reservations. Also, if you’re giving them plenty of advance notice of your wedding date, it will make it easier for them to book that time for the trip.

So don’t hesitate and start planning as soon as possible, as it will make all the work easier and your big day will have absolutely everything you want.

2. Choose date and place

When you finally decide to start planning your wedding it is normal not to know where to begin. But calm down, that’s what we’re here for.

Since you have your dream destination (Los Cabos), the first thing you should do is a previous investigation of what this place offers you as a wedding destination, but not something deep, just to give you an idea.

After this, you should know that Los Cabos is a beautiful place that has the most beautiful hotels willing to give you the best scenario for your wedding and also has 350 days of sunny weather, so almost any time of the year is ideal to celebrate your big day.

Then this will make it easier for you to make the first important decision and start the rest of the planning: The Date of your Wedding.

This is where you will decide if you want to follow your heart or your budget, or why not, both!

If you are sentimental and want your wedding to be held on a specific date (regardless of whether it is the high or low season at the destination), by planning everything in advance you will quickly get a reservation for the day you want.

Just set the date on the calendar and you’re done!

On the other hand, if you don’t give as much importance to the date as to the season or your budget and your guests’ budget, the peak season in Los Cabos is between October and May (because it’s the whale watching season).

Therefore a mini nuptial tip is that probably everything will be a little cheaper if your wedding is held in low season, which to the surprise of many is in the middle of summer. However, you must be careful because the hurricane season usually starts around September and we don’t want that to ruin your wedding.

Well, with a date on the calendar, it’s time for the fun to start.

Next thing you have to do is decide: Where will the wedding be?

Los Cabos offers so many places, so many areas and all of them with such a charming atmosphere, that you have to sit back and see all the options you have, so you can make the decision that makes you happier because after all, that’s what matters, your happiness.

And since we’re here to help you, let’s look at some of the best places on Cabo for the best wedding experience.

Sunset Monalisa

This is the ideal place for your wedding if you want to delight yourself with a 180-degree view of the bay of Cabo San Lucas and a background with nothing more and nothing less than the famous Arch.

This place includes 9 terraces so you can choose which scenario is best for your wedding and also only allow one event per day to give you total exclusivity.

Cabo Azul

This is another incredible option for a dream wedding. Here you can celebrate from a beach wedding to a beautiful ceremony in its impressive chapel. Everything you expect in service, stay and comfort is something that only Cabo Azul can offer you.

One & Only Palmilla

In this magical place, you can also find the ideal setting for the wedding you’ve dreamed of. It has an incredible ballroom, a chapel for your religious ceremony and the best team of wedding planners to make your job much easier.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

And finally, another of the many and varied options of the destination is the Hyatt Ziva, the place that will give you the romantic experience with both indoor and outdoor spaces. A place that will give you an unforgettable experience with a party room with capacity for up to 800 people. The ideal place for a big party in style!

As you will notice, the options are varied and many of them completely attractive. So relax and take it easy. Think about what you really want for your big day and enjoy seeing the options.

Ask yourself everything you need to know. Ask your doubts to the hotels that catch your attention the most and only when you are completely sure start with the reservations.

If you do everything with the same love you have for the groom, there is no way for you to make bad decisions.

3. Guest List

Now that you have a date and a place in mind, it’s time to start as soon as possible with the guest list.

When you have your wedding in a destination like Los Cabos, it is important that you give your guests enough notice in advance, because they also need to organize themselves and check their agendas to know if they can make the trip.

Then, plan the guest list according to the number of people you want at your wedding or the amount that is allowed in the party hall or place where the celebration will take place, and after that wait for everyone’s confirmations to know the exact amount of guests that will go.

Doing a wedding in a place like Los Cabos will let you know who really wants to be by your side on that special day, since probably many of the people you invite will tell you they won’t be able to.

For this reason, don’t make a reservation or pay for any service without knowing how many guests you will have, because we don’t want you to have any loss.

On the other hand, there is no exact protocol about doing a wedding abroad, but what we do know is that you are not obligated to cover the cost of all your guests’ tickets.

So, don’t feel guilty for wanting to celebrate your wedding in a dream place, it’s your day and whoever wants to accompany you, will do it without waiting for you to cover the expenses.

Finally, what is important is that you think about the comfort of all these loved ones who are going to accompany you on that special date. And by this, we mean that you should do your best to make sure that the lodging and the wedding celebration take place in the same hotel (or at least in very close locations).

Giving your guests and yourself the opportunity to have a comfortable stay and a pleasant travel experience is a great detail.

And giving them a worry-free start (both for them and for you) in this beautiful destination is something you can’t overlook. Small details like solving the transfer from the airport to the hotel is something they will thank you immensely.

And what better way to give all your guests a unique experience than with the best transportation service in Los Cabos?

VIP transportation Los Cabos will give you the best welcome to what will be the beginning of a new life, and will give your guests a welcome with the best VIP experience they all deserve for accompanying you on this special occasion.

It is a safe, reliable, and not at all expensive service that will easily resolve the transfer during your vacation so that you don’t have to worry about anything more than being happy on your wedding day.

So don’t think about it anymore, relax and let this service take care of welcoming your friends and family to paradise.

And with the hotel and transportation solved there is nothing more to solve regarding the guests. Just wait for the big day.

4. Seeks legal advice (make sure you have all the necessary papers)

Do not let the excitement of your engagement cloud your mind. Legal is still an extremely important part that you should not overlook during your planning.

Many couples usually decide to have a civil celebration at home and a religious celebration abroad (to avoid inconvenience with paperwork).

However, if you wish to do both celebrations in Los Cabos you should be well informed about the legal processes and how to validate the marriage upon returning to your country.

Ask a thousand questions at the hotel or place where the celebration will be held, or ask your wedding planner a thousand times every aspect of this legal process so that you do not miss a single detail once you are at your destination.

For your fortune, civil ceremonies in Mexico are valid in a large number of countries (including the United States), so your biggest concern is actually having all the necessary paperwork to carry out this celebration.

So that you don’t have any inconveniences, you can resolve the following paperwork in time:

  • Tourist Visa (the one they give when they arrive at Los Cabos)
  • Valid passport and birth certificate
  • Four witnesses
  • Divorce decree(s) in case of previous marriage, (translated by an expert translator in B.C.S.)
  • Blood test done in Los Cabos before the ceremony (48 hours before)

And yet, it is better to insist and ask if in any other is needed. Well, it is better that you have more papers than for lack of any you can not carry out your civil marriage.

Carry out these procedures calmly and with time and remove a burden on yourself so you can continue to enjoy the experience of planning your wedding without worries.

5. The banquet, the decoration, the details

And having finally resolved the date, the lodging and place of celebration of your wedding, the number of guests and all the legal part, begins the greatest fun of planning your wedding: The Details.

Now is the time to get creative and start making decisions regarding the wedding style you want, the theme, the decoration, etc.

Always start by choosing the colors and theme of your wedding. If you want something romantic or something bolder. This will give rise to the rest of the details.

A wedding in Los Cabos brings many possibilities. You can have from “a beach wedding”, to a “Mexican style wedding”, or simply a wedding with all the luxuries of Baja California.

The truth is that everything else is in the hands of your imagination.

Take advantage of the large number of companies specializing in weddings that Los Cabos has available for you, or the wedding packages offered by the hotel you chose as the ideal for the celebration.

And according to all the themes and planning, all you have to do is choose your dress, makeup, have your maid of honor plan your bachelorette party (which could be the same in Los Cabos, so what better way to give your destination a little taste before the wedding) and you’re done. Enjoy your new life with your partner.

Having your wedding in a place far from home is an opportunity and an experience that you will not regret, so after so much planning and so many months of dedication in every detail, just enjoy the love of your life and be the happiest person in the world because after all is your big day.

Enjoy the nuptial experience that Los Cabos offers you.

This beautiful destination waits for you.

Los Cabos: The perfect destination for Millennial Travelers

If you are a traveler born between 1980 and 2000, then congratulations! You are part of the generation that is changing the tourism industry today.

This generation is specifically that of the Millennials, which is made up of all those young people who are currently approximately 18-38 years old and who have lived through the turn of the millennium, adopting technology as part of their daily lives.

If you are part of this generation, you know well that what characterizes them (especially the youngest) is their love for technology and social networks, their high standards (they always seek to meet their expectations) and their great love for travel.

For the entire Millennial generation (or generation Y) it is no secret that travel is the best way to enjoy life, one of the ways to know that your life is being successful, and the new way of seeing the world, because most of them prefer to travel a thousand times before thinking about things like family and children.

In fact, the custom of marrying, settling down and having children has been changed in this generation by “getting new experiences through travel”.

That’s why they’ve made this activity their favorite hobby in recent years, as it seems that this generation has been bitten by the Wanderlust bug before birth, causing the tourism industry to be completely updated and adapted to their needs.

But how do they adapt?

The way this generation travels is completely different from the traditional way.

Millennials often travel alone in search of adventure or with friends instead of family, and most often they use technology as if it were their right arm.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that they refuse to go to places without wifi signals, such as forests or destinations related to the environment, because in reality those places far away from the crowd like them (a good post for instagram or facebook with a natural background is never too much).

The truth is that when we say “use technology for their trips” we mean that the most common thing is that the cell phone, tablet or laptop is their ally to get everything they need to make their trip, such as plane tickets, reservation of the stay, tours, etc.. And all of this usually a week in advance (or less).

And you must probably be thinking, “Well, obviously, this is the 21st century, everybody does that, not just the millennials.”

However, this statement is not entirely true. Most of the people who don’t belong to this generation may master the technology and do all the planning of their trip from their cell phones, but I assure you that there are also many who would prefer to leave everything to a travel agency and get over it (which rarely would make a millennial).

That is why there is a detail that is characteristic mainly of this generation and is what makes every destination, hotel, tour, etc., adapted to these young people.

The Millennials are not easy to convince. That is why, although it is true that they could consult with a travel agency about the intended destination, they will never leave their decisions in charge of it, because they themselves must verify and be completely convinced of the decisions of the trip and be sure that everything will go perfectly.

And that’s where their main tool to achieve it comes in.

In order to feel confident that they are making the right decision, they take as the main proof of the quality of a place the opinion of their friends or of the people who have visited the destination, stayed at the hotel they have in mind, etc.

For this generation tools like TripAdvisor are the daily bread, because according to studies before booking a millennial visit a huge amount of pages and tour offers in order to:

  1. Get the best prices.
  2. Make sure that the quality of the place they are going to is exactly what will meet their expectations.

Therefore, it is obvious that for a place to attract the attention of this generation, everything it offers must be easily accessible digitally, and a place with a bad review will be discarded faster than the expected.

However, that is not all. Well, there are other details that are key to the Millennials going to some destination like moths to the flame.

What do millennials look for when traveling?

The key to a millennial being happy with his journey is that the destination offers him an authentic experience. They don’t want to live the same as everyone else, they want a unique experience that will mark their lives.

The idea of going to the most striking tourist sites is not exactly what this generation is looking for, because what interests them is to fill themselves with new experiences, culture, living and shared with the locals and discovering the small gems that each place has for them.

So if a destination has a rich culture, friendly people and of course an exceptional gastronomy, there is no doubt that it will be a place that will attract the attention of this generation.

On the other hand, the quality of the wifi is paramount, especially when it comes to the stay.

This generation not only wants the wifi connection to be free in the hotel, but also to be of high quality and have access to it anywhere in the hotel facilities or the road.

And this is because this generation is used to always being connected to their networks. Most of these young travelers do not wait to get home to share their travel experience on the networks.

They can spend a whole day hiking in a place without a bit of wifi, but when they arrive at the hotel they should be satisfied that they can post what they have done, as 97% of millennials usually post their travel experience during their trip.

Therefore, any place that welcomes you to this new digital age will be the magnet for the Millennials without a doubt.

Knowing all this, if you are part of the Millennial generation you are exactly in the right place because in the following lines you will find the next destination on your list.

Los Cabos: The perfect destination for the Millennials

With the most beautiful scenery, the variety of activities it offers and the warm atmosphere of its residents, Los Cabos is a destination that promises to be everything the Millennials expect when they travel.

Imagine the amazement that can be caused in your life by getting lost in that beautiful blue of the Pacific Ocean or the Sea of Cortez  (or how great a post about the beautiful sunsets of this destination would look).

Or else, imagine the party that will be created in your palate just by trying the Mexican-Marine gastronomy that this destination offers you. Or, why not, get lost in the colonial streets of its charming little towns (streets that with their charm will give color to your social networks).

All this and more make Los Cabos the destination you will want to visit as soon as possible.

Los Cabos has a variety of zones (6 zones in total) whose charm is unique, which is ideal for this entire generation, as a “short” trip is not something that exists in their vocabulary.

A week’s vacation? What for? They can last two or three!

And what more advantage for a long trip than a destination that besides being charming, gives you the opportunity to know different areas (some very different from the others) in which you can spend days thinking that you are in a completely new and different place, and also you can discover in each of these secrets and small hidden gems that have to offer.

It’s something you can only find in Los Cabos.

Among these areas, we highlight first and foremost “San José del Cabo”. One of the quiet and traditional places of Los Cabos, where you can truly enjoy the culture and people of the place. It is a magnet for young people who want to live new experiences and discover the charm of new places and traditions.

After this area, you will find the famous “Corredor Turístico” or “Corredor de Oro”, where the main attraction is golf and its beautiful beaches. Ideal for all nature and sports lovers.

The next area would be “Cabo San Lucas”, one of the places where the Millennials can enjoy an endless night party. It is true that this generation loves to discover the essence of the destination they are visiting, but that does not mean that they are not lovers of a good party too.

So, after a few quiet days absorbing the culture of Los Cabos, the nightlife of Cabo San Lucas is what you need to finish having fun on your trip and have the time of your life!

On the other hand, there is the “Pacific”, where you can enjoy the best views of the sea. One way to get away from the world and enjoy every second is to visit this area, and it’s only a few minutes from Cabo San Lucas, so you’ll have fun at the same time.

Then you will find the famous magic little town of “Todos Santos”. This small town is undoubtedly the place that is taking most of the attention of these young travelers because its charm and originality are incredible.

Todos Santos is a magnet for this generation,  the perfect escape from the crowd, it is the way to get those experiences through which the Millennials have so many desires to travel.

Just a few days in this magical little town are enough to end up completely in love with gastronomy, the friendliness of the locals, the charm of its colorful streets and its incredible way of acquiring the best of the current development without losing its authenticity.

The latter being what so attracts this generation, which seeks to fill itself with Mexican culture without sacrificing its love of technology.

And finally the last area you will find is “La Paz”. This beautiful place is characterized by being a quiet and welcoming town that offers you the most beautiful scenery and gives you the opportunity to enjoy the best luxuries of the Baja California peninsula.

Also, visiting its Malecon is something that should be on your list because it will be enough with a few posts from that beautiful place to make your social networks explode.

Los Cabos is definitely the experience you’ve been waiting for, so pack your bags and think about living an adventure in this tropical desert paradise that awaits you.

And obviously, that adventure must be experienced in the best possible way. So let’s look at some of the things that Los Cabos has to offer to the Millennial generation.

What can a Millennial do in Los Cabos?

You know that visiting each area and getting to know the charms of each one of these is something you should do just because you have to, and that’s it.

However, to make these minutes of your time even more valuable, let’s take a look at some tips and activities to make your trip to Cabo go great and make the most of every second of your adventure in Baja California.

Take advantage of the benefits of your best friend: the Smartphone

As mentioned earlier, most destinations have had to find ways to upgrade and adapt to this new generation, and Los Cabos has done so incredibly well.

During your stay in Los Cabos your Smartphone will be your best friend (more than usual), because if you have no idea what to do or where to go, there are a lot of tours, places to visit and reviews about this destination that you can easily find.

Just by searching for a few minutes and making your reservations online you can have the day’s planning ready without having to kill yourself thinking, or without having to waste your time on some activity or place that is not worth improvising.

So you can rest assured that one of the greatest advantages of Los Cabos for the Millennial generation is that it is literally available to you from the palm of your hand.

Meet the best beaches

Going to Los Cabos and not going to the beach could even become a crime.

With the beautiful beaches this destination has to offer to delight you, it is a fixed point on your list of things to do when you travel to this destination.

Nothing like a completely relaxed day on the beach with a #BeachLifeStyle for the envy of all your fans. The best beaches in Baja California can only be found in Los Cabos.

And some of the best for the millennial generation is to start without a doubt Playa Palmilla and Playa las Viudas.

Both beaches have the great advantage of being Free (something that adds up to points for all Millennials, as offers are their thing 😉 ). On these beaches, you can bring your own food and drinks without having to eat in a restaurant or spend on any other souvenir.

In addition, both are undoubtedly a hidden paradise that does not have so much flow of tourists, but rather of locals, another reason to be a magnet for young millennials!

However, there are also other well-known beaches in Los Cabos such as: Playa Chileno, Playa Santa Maria, Playa Médano and Divorce Beach or Playa del Amor.

Regardless of the beach you choose, you will have an incredible time, because of the beauty of all the beaches of this destination will leave you speechless.

Be amazed by the Outdoor Activities

One of the main outdoor activities that catch the eye of anyone who visits Los Cabos is going to see the famous Cabo San Lucas “Arch”, a local icon. Besides this is very close to the beach divorce, so you can plan a whole day to get to know both and have the best time.

But, to make your experience authentic, the best option Los Cabos has for Millenials is to introduce them not only to a tropical desert paradise, but also to welcome them into an animal universe that will make their mind explode.

Baja California is like an animal sanctuary, and if you’re going on a trip to Los Cabos there are a few places you can’t miss to have the experience of joining nature.

The Estuary is one of those magical places that should be on your list. A place that will leave you speechless for the diversity of flora and fauna that you will appreciate. The perfect place for Millennials who love animals (especially birds).

On the other hand, there is Cabo Pulmo, the most important marine reserve in Baja California. This is the only coral reef ecosystem in the Gulf of California and one of the three remaining living reefs on the planet.

I assure you that during the whole trip this will be the most incredible experience you will have, as you will not be able to compare the wonder of entering a marine universe with anything else. For all those Millennials who love everything about marine life, this is definitely the place to visit.

And also you can find a lot of trails and guided walks among the beautiful landscapes that all this desert area has for you.

Nothing better for this generation than breathing fresh air and having an experience of connection with nature and the world.

And Los Cabos is definitely the destination that gives you the opportunity to make that connection.

Luxury travel for a demanding generation

Finally, one of the services that are important not to miss is the airport shuttle service to and from the hotel.

The Millennial generation is often a lover of public transportation, making adventure and experience more real than a vacation.

However, for your comfort and safety, the best thing you can do at the moment of starting a trip is to invest in a service that does everything possible to make this first experience at your destination the best, the most comfortable and free of any worry and waste of time.

Therefore, ideally, you should go for the safe and hire a private transportation service.

And for one of the generations that demand excellence in the services they hire, Los Cabos has one of the private transportation services that will end up being above the expectations of any millennial traveler who is visiting.

VIP Transportation Los Cabos is the ideal service for all these travelers, because its affordable price for the high quality of service they offer is exactly what this generation is always looking for.

In addition, their reputation at TripAdvisor is impeccable, so it is absolutely certain that they will fulfill their promise to provide you with a punctual, safe and VIP experience that will leave you speechless.

For this and much more, there is no doubt that Los Cabos is the place that will begin to steal the dream of the entire Millennial generation.

This is the perfect destination to have an adventure that satisfies all tastes and makes anyone feel really alive because from its beaches to its tradition, there is much to choose from to make that trip the best trip of a millennial’s life.

Embrace that Wanderlust spirit you have from the cradle and dive into the adventure of discovering the magic of this beautiful destination. Los Cabos is waiting for you!

How to save money on your trip to Los Cabos

When you are a traveler with a completely defined wanderlust spirit, you know that nothing can change your plans and desire to travel. Not even a low budget.

Although many people believe that saving money when travelling is a very complicated and difficult task, the truth is that it is not an impossible mission and if you do it the right way, it ends up being something really simple.

It’s all about your pre-trip organization and research, and this doesn’t necessarily mean looking for a simple and economical destination, because even in the most expensive places it’s possible to travel without hurting your pocket so much.

So, if you have a beautiful destination in mind and the energy and desire to visit it, then you have more than enough for an incredible vacation.

Los Cabos, for example, is one of the most visited destinations in Mexico because of its beautiful tropical desert landscapes, its beaches, the great amount of environments and the variety of activities you can do in it.

And, although most people consider it an expensive tourist destination, the truth is that you can make the most of it without spending a fortune.

But how to achieve it?

In order for your trip to go as smoothly as possible and to save money during the trip, the best thing you can do is to follow these lines where you will find several tips that will help you achieve your goal.

5 Ways to Save Money in Los Cabos

The first thing to keep in mind is that “saving money” does not mean that you will only go for the cheapest. The idea is that you enjoy your vacation and spend some pleasant time, and that won’t necessarily happen if you only go to the places that offer you an extremely economical price for a lousy service.

If you’re looking for the cheapest but lowest quality places instead of “saving money” you’ll be wasting it.

So, practically the strategy of saving money during a trip is to think intelligently about which things are worth spending a little more money on and which are not.

And this is exactly what the following 5 tips will help you with.

Plan Everything Ahead.

One expense that is clearly unavoidable in all travel is airfare and lodging.
These first expenses are practically the starting point for planning any trip, so if you want to save money during your vacation you should start by doing this job the right way.

The first thing you need to do is decide what time of year you will be traveling. Obviously, you should look for the time of the year when your destination is in high season. This way you will know the best time to travel, because the higher the season, the more expensive everything will be.

In the case of Los Cabos, the highest season is during whale watching, between the months of December and April. And to the surprise of many the low season is in the middle of summer (because of the high temperatures and the rainy climate of September).

So, if your Cabo trip isn’t planned to go whale watching and you don’t care much about the heat, the best time to go is during the months of July to September if you’re looking to save money.

Now, what about the plane tickets?

If you already have a date, try to purchase tickets several weeks in advance. This will allow you to save a lot because you will not be buying tickets at high prices because of the high demand in the middle of the season.

Then pay attention here: If you decide to travel in the low season, airline tickets should preferably be available 6-8 weeks in advance. On the other hand, if you decide to travel in high season, tickets must be purchased 10 to 12 weeks in advance.

By the time this step is completed, you will have saved yourself a considerable amount. Now the only thing missing in this pre-trip planning is the stay.

The reservation of the stay (economically) is very similar to the reservation of plane tickets. The earlier you book, the cheaper it will be.

Well, obviously a room will be more expensive if you look for it in the middle of the season, because the demand will be very high. Therefore, planning ahead is the best way to start a trip without extra expenses.

Where to stay with a tight budget?

It’s very obvious that an all-inclusive resort, however well heard, is not the best way to save money in Los Cabos.

If what you want is to enjoy the locality more than spending the whole day at the hotel, honestly you don’t need to get the most luxurious stay in Los Cabos. Finding a pleasant and accessible place is more than enough.

And for your fortune, one of the advantages of this beautiful destination is that it has an incredible variety of hotels and inns that are not bad for the price they have.

One of them is the Seven Crown Hotel, which you can get for as little as $37 a night. With its excellent location and comfortable rooms, you will be more than satisfied and your spending will not be excessive. And if you’re not convinced, pay attention to this TripAdvisor review:

The hotel is very simple! It’s cheap and super comfortable and clean, the rooms are big, the bathroom and shower worked great! We didn’t have any complaints, we loved it because it’s close to everything and we didn’t suffer from very well located transportation. Well, nice and cheap.

On the other hand, another ideal place to stay that is in a similar price range to the Seven Crown Hotel is the Estancia Real Los Cabos. At a cost of $38 a night, it offers you a pleasant stay with an incredible location.

We chose this hotel for its central location and economy, and we did not regret it because the stay was very pleasant and fulfilled our expectations, the rooms are well equipped and clean, the staff is friendly and the facilities are in good condition.

And finally, among all the beautiful places you can get, let’s mention two options that are in the range of $50-$60 per night, and even though they’re a little higher in price, they’re still two places you won’t regret.

First, there’s Cabo Vista Hotel which costs $52 a night, offers incredible service and completely comfortable rooms.

My visit was 8 days, I loved the room, clean, comfortable and safe, the kitchenette was very useful and practical. Very nice breakfast. The location was very good as it allows you to walk to the center. The friendly and attentive staff.

And second, the Cabo Inn Hotel, at a cost of $58 a night. This place will give you a unique experience with excellent location and unparalleled service.

It is a very pleasant and comfortable stay, with all the services, it is accessible and above all it is distinguished by its beautiful facilities. It’s the best choice if you want to relax and enjoy a good weekend with friends or family.

With these places and all the others you can find, you can now cross off the list to get the perfect stay for an affordable price.

However, a common mistake is to think that you are the only one who wants to save a little. All of these places can exist but because they are more accessible it is probably not so easy to get a room (especially if you travel in the middle of the high season). That’s why it’s so important to follow the previous tip and book in advance so that you can take some extra worry and expense off your shoulders.

Where to eat with a tight budget?

Another way in which you can save a good amount of money is to choose the places in Cabo that give you a good service and let you enjoy the local cuisine, without the need for the cost to be very high.

You must not let yourself be carried away by the facade of the place, because no matter how beautiful it may be, I assure you that there are places that can give you in some cases an even better service for a more accessible price.

The only task you have then is to get those little jewels that Cabo have, and that’s why we’re here.

So that you can enjoy a varied menu, let’s start first with a few places that will give you the best of Mexican food.

The Restaurant Bar Campestre is undoubtedly one of the favorites of the locals, as it offers you a 100% Mexican meal with authentic homemade flavor. It is also one of the places that give you excellent service at a very good price:

Very good food, the dishes are large and accompanied by several garnishes. Very good price and excellent service!

And another Mexican-style option is La Taquiza, the place whose tacos will bring you back. With an excellent location and first class service, it’s the option you’ve been looking for:

The place is nice, I recommend the barbecue or shepherd’s tacos. They have varieties of sauces to suit all tastes. The breakfasts are very tasty, the portions are large enough to satisfy you and the price is fair and affordable compared to other restaurants.

Now, taking a direction that’s a little more American in style, Doggy Style is certainly the place that will give you a totally different, unique and economical version of what you once thought would be a Hot Dog.

If you have a craving for a hamburger, hot dog or fries, this is the place to go:

We went because we wanted something cheaper to eat in the area and it was really good. The gentleman is a very kind American who does everything quickly and well. I also liked the decoration of the place very much.

So, don’t worry, it’s not impossible to get these places that will make your pocket happier.

Now, let’s talk about another relevant subject… What about the liquor?

Usually if your plan is not to overspend during your trip, a common advice is to avoid alcohol consumption, which is usually expensive. However, if you don’t want to put aside this option Los Cabos can help you with that.

At Happy Ending Cantina and Cabo Blue you can have a great time and a great variety of drinks for an incredible price!

When you’re visiting Cabo San Lucas, don’t forget to stop by the happy ending bar, you’ll find a variety of drinks at a very low cost.

And finally, if you’re really looking to spend the minimum on food, there’s always the option of cooking in your hotel room and taking the food of the day with you, which will certainly save you a lot more money.

Free activities in Cabo

With great savings so far getting airline tickets at a good price, a good stay on a low budget and the best way to enjoy the rich gastronomy of the destination economically, it’s time for you to know… What can I do for free in Los Cabos?

Los Cabos has a reputation for being an eclectic place, as all the activities you get at this place are very varied and there are usually activities for all tastes.

And what better than a range of opportunities that create a long list of things to do? Ah yes… It’s better if those are free!!

One of the first things you can do for free is to visit two of its beautiful beaches.

Palmilla Beach is one of them. This beautiful place will leave you enchanted with its gentle waves and crystal clear waters. It is the ideal place to spend a day in the sun and on the sand. And best of all, you can bring your own food and drinks without having to eat at a restaurant or spend money on any other souvenir.

On the other hand, there is Playa Las Viudas, which like Palmilla allows you to carry everything (ideal for your pocket). This beach is undoubtedly a hidden paradise (it seems to be even a private beach) whose main attraction is the rocky formations you will find there.

On the other hand, another way to enjoy Cabo for free is to stroll through its streets and enjoy its culture and architecture. There is nothing better than enjoying a pleasant walk through its magical streets, visiting the Central Square, the Cathedral of San José or visiting the Boulevard Antonio Mijares.

And in the same spirit of walking, another perfect place to go for a walk is the Cabo San Lucas Marina. A beautiful scenery both day and night. A must-see stop to get your picture taken next to the #Cabo sign. It is definitely something you should not miss on your trip!

Another thing that is completely free is the incredible sunsets that this destination gives you. Nothing like watching the beautiful tones of twilight hiding behind the Pacific. And this is something you can observe from almost anywhere in Los Cabos.

Now, if you’re looking for something with a little more action than just sitting back and watching the sun go down… A day of Hiking is what you need.

The Cañón de Costa Azul and Cerro de la Z are exactly what your adventurous spirit needs to connect with nature.

On the one hand, the Costa Azul Cañon will give you an unforgettable day of hiking. You just need a lot of energy, a bottle of water and start enjoying your surroundings and the incredible view.

Cerro de la Z, on its own, is a place usually used by locals for exercise, but when you reach the top you’ll find yourself with a view like no other. It’s really a sport activity that besides giving you some time with nature will delight you.

Honestly… what more could you ask for?

And finally, if you end up traveling in the high season at the end, obviously the whales must be on this list of free things!

Watching the whales that migrate to the Cortes Sea is one of the natural spectacles that delight both locals and visitors alike, so it’s definitely something you can’t miss!

So there are no excuses!. With so much to do for free, you can have the best vacation in Los Cabos without spending more than you need.

The best way to transport in Cabo

At this point, it is the moment when one of the first things that was mentioned at the beginning must be taken into account much more. Keep in mind that “Saving money does not mean looking for the cheapest“.

But… Why is it so important to keep this in mind?

You must be very intelligent when deciding on your means of transport in Los Cabos. This is where you should spend your money on what will really give you the comfort you need.

Clearly this doesn’t mean that everything you saved with the above tips should be spent on transportation, but it’s not like you’re going to walk from the airport to the hotel to avoid spending money.

You have to find the middle ground between your comfort and the happiness in your pocket.

And that’s where private transportation comes in.

When you arrive at a destination (for the first time or not) it is important that the first moments of your trip are full of good energy and no stress, so that the mood you have at that time is maintained throughout the trip.

That’s why, although it’s not as cheap as going by bus, the private transportation service will give you the advantage of having a first trip on your vacation that will be: safe, comfortable, without wasting time and without having to have a hard time.

And you can prove this by quickly comparing all the benefits of hiring a private service with the benefits of using the most economical transport (public transport).

So, this is where you’ll spend your money wisely on a service that’s really worth it.

And it’s not just about hiring any private transportation service at random, as you may as well overpay for a poor quality service. It’s about getting the service that suits your needs and has a value for money that is accessible.

In Los Cabos, for example, you will find one of the best private transportation services in all of Baja California.

We are talking about VIP Transportation Los Cabos, the Cabo transportation service that will make you feel like a star without taking an eye off your face.

This transportation service has an incredible reputation (which you can easily check out in their reviews on TripAdvisor). From its punctuality, friendly drivers and clean and in excellent condition vehicles, VIP Transportation Los Cabos promises to be the best decision you can make.

Best of all, it’s not an expensive service, because for the VIP experience it provides, its cost is perfectly affordable.

So don’t hesitate any more and invest a little of your budget in the best way to travel in Los Cabos.

With these 5 tips you can fulfill your dream of traveling to a paradise as beautiful as Los Cabos and not suffer for spending a fortune on it.

Remember, all you need is a great adventurous spirit, a lot of energy and a desire to travel…. The rest will take care of itself.

Don’t wait any longer. Los Cabos is waiting for you.

The Best of Los Cabos

The Best of Los Cabos

There is no better place to enjoy free time, a weekend getaway, a vacation or a trip than Los Cabos.

Los Cabos is that tropical desert paradise waiting for you to give you the best days of your life.

With a cold drink in hand and a sunset at this destination you don’t need anything else to disconnect you from the world.

This small piece of heaven is located in Mexico, in the state of Baja California, in the south of the peninsula, which allows this magnificent place to leave you speechless with the range of blues that will delight your eyes, because it is exactly between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez.

And, if an unimaginable range of blues is not enough for you, another advantage of Los Cabos is that it is the ideal place for all tastes due to the variety of activities, places to meet and environments you can get, which adapt to even the most difficult person to satisfy when traveling.

All this is because in Los Cabos you can choose to have the basics for a perfect vacation, that is, the sun, the sand, the sea and the fun (as for example in the famous Arco or its beautiful beaches), to go for the most traditional and cultural of the destination as the Mexican colonial architecture (in San Jose del Cabo or Todos Santos) or, why not, to enjoy a luxurious and endless night party (In nothing more and nothing less than the nightlife of Cabo San Lucas).

But, in addition to the common activities you can get at the site, what other peculiar things can you do to make sure you don’t miss any of Los Cabos experiences?

It is a good idea to ask yourself these kinds of questions before your trip, because this gives you the time you need to fill up with information before and when you arrive at your destination you will make the best use of your time.

Every destination has those peculiar little details that make it even more special. Details that are usually sought after by people whose tastes are also peculiar.

Then, so that your trip to Los Cabos goes perfectly and you can enjoy the best it has to offer, the following lines will give you the Top 10 of the best things this destination has to offer.

Let’s get to it.

Top 10 Things to Do in Los Cabos

The Best Hotels with Jacuzzi in Cabo

A good vacation (especially in a destination as magnificent as Los Cabos) deserves first of all a dream hotel.

There is no point in going to a beautiful destination and with so much to give if at the moment of resting your stay does not meet the expectations of the trip. When this happens your mood changes completely and you will not be able to enjoy your trip the way it deserves.

The advantage of all the areas of Los Cabos is that in any of them you can get hotels that will leave you speechless, luxury accommodations that make you feel like a star.

However, nothing better than a stay that allows you to have your own private Jacuzzi, because…. who doesn’t want a private Jacuzzi?

Cabo Villas Beach Resort is one of the places that allows you to have this option, as it has several rooms that offer a Jacuzzi on the balcony. And here is a TripAdvisor Review that gives you an idea:

Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa was a perfect place to stay in Cabos! The Executive Suite was beautiful, I enjoyed the Jacuzzi on the balcony! Great location – right on the beach and close to the marina! The whole staff was amazing! We’ll be back!!!!

On the other hand, another option is the Cabo Inn Hotel which also offers a relaxing Jacuzzi in the rooms that are located on the roof.

If you want to try something wild, get a room on the ceiling, the wall is wavy with vines piled up with curtains, it’s got a thatched roof, a big bed, it also comes with a hammock and a big balcony with a Jacuzzi.”

Now, if you are not specifically looking for a Jacuzzi in your room, but you still want your hotel to have one, some of the options you can find are: Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa Los Cabos, Playa Grande Resort and Solmar Resort.

The Best Food at the Airport  in Cabo

One of the things you might be wondering if your flight is delayed or if you have to wait a long time at the airport is which is the best place to eat at the airport?

Los Cabos International Airport has several food establishments in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. However, it will depend on your taste to decide where to eat.

In Terminal 1 you can get, for example, the following establishments:

  • Boston Dogs
  • Burger King
  • Crown
  • Starbuck Coffee
  • Subway

And on the other hand in Terminal 2 you meet:

  • Corner Bar
  • Medes
  • Mud

So, the fact is that most of these places will have good food and attention, so the decision of where to eat actually goes hand in hand with what you crave at the moment.

However, for the sake of your pocket (as prices at the airport may be a bit high) the real advice behind this point of “the best place to eat at the airport” is that the best option might be to try to eat before you go to the airport or go somewhere near it.

Some of the best places that are very close to the airport (11 km – 20 min. approximately) are El Matador, Don Sanchez and Fiorenza, just to mention a few.

El Matador “We go every time we’re in Cabo and we’ve never been disappointed. The food is exceptional and the service and atmosphere is unparalleled. The steaks and seafood are fantastic!

Don Sanchez “The best food in Cabo! A real hidden gem! Don Sanchez doesn’t look like much from the front, but don’t let that stop you – it’s an incredible surprise when they take you to your table and the oasis! And the food is simply spectacular. You won’t be disappointed.”

Fiorenza “The best Italian restaurant in San José del Cabo. The homemade bread was wonderful, the salad was fresh and tasty, the four different pastries we enjoyed were amazing and the dessert tiramisu was delicious. The service was incredible, very attentive.

The Best Vegan Restaurant in Cabo

And continuing with the same theme of where to eat?, let’s now talk a little bit about the places in Cabo where vegans can relax.

When you’re vegan or vegetarian, it’s not always easy to find places that offer both reliable and delicious vegan options.

If you’re just getting to know the place, how do you know what they’re offering you is really vegan? Or how do you know if it’s going to be delicious?

Fortunately, Los Cabos has the vegan option figured out because in Cabo San Lucas you can get amazing places to eat without any worries and they’re sure to exceed your expectations.

So, if you want to eat alone in vegan food places, the following options are for you:

La Rana Vegana Excellent Vegan Choice! I highly recommend the grilled toast dish and the tacos! Very good attention from everyone!

Namaste India “I have been to different countries and let me tell you that it is very difficult to find authentic and very good Indian food, the flavors are impressive, and the service is excellent 100% recommended many vegetarian food options.

Mako Vegan and Veggie “Mako is an exemplary place, the vegetarian (and vegan) menu is always full of surprises, the place has a very special atmosphere. It is a restaurant that has been increasing its quality and variety. The best gift for the vegan and vegetarian community.”

The Best Sushi Restaurant in Cabo

And now it’s sushi lovers’ turn.

No destination can be perfect without a good place to eat sushi (especially if it’s a coastal destination with access to a completely fresh seafood dish).

This is why Los Cabos has a great variety of places where you can go and enjoy the best sushi in Baja California, among which you can find:

Nick-San “Great place to enjoy sushi and many other dishes. Great atmosphere and great wine bar

Tiki Sushi Bar “Beautiful place with beautiful view to the marina, in the marina, breakfast and lunch… very good sushi…varied and moderate in price, if you visit Cabo, it’s worth a lot to turn around.

Mahi Sushi Bar “I love everything, every single dish, roll, drink (I’ve literally ordered everything) – the quality of the ingredients is really superior to so many restaurants that serve sushi or other Japanese dishes. Tip: if more than 2 people go, let the waiter send them dishes and rolls of his choice to taste what he thinks will bring them back!

Tazuna “This was the best meal we had recently in Cabo. We had a little bit of everything: snacks, buns, and sashimi were all delicious. Highly recommended!”

With these 4 places and all the others that this destination offers you, you will have the opportunity to receive the freshness of the sea in the best sushi in Mexico.

The Best Transportation Service in Cabo

And referring now to the way of transporting you in this beautiful paradise, there is only one service that fulfills everything necessary for you to obtain a high quality service that will surely exceed your expectations.

Whether it’s your first trip from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the airport or simply to be taken to the attractions of your choice, VIP Transportation Los Cabos is the private transportation service you need. Its reputation for punctuality, guaranteed safety, good value for money and excellent service make this the best transportation service in Los Cabos.

So don’t think twice and book it with the confidence that you’ll get the VIP attention you deserve.

The Best Breakfast in Cabo

What is the best way to start a day with the best energy? Exactly. With a good breakfast.

So it should be among your tasks to get those star places that offer you the best breakfasts you can find at your holiday destination.

Los Cabos has a great variety of restaurants willing to delight you with their gastronomy, but if you want to get the best breakfasts in the south of the peninsula, you should definitely go to the following places:

Bar Esquina Los Cabos “Breakfast has an exquisite service, I enjoyed some very tasty and well-done eggs benedictos, if I suggest you contemplate a healthier side dish than potatoes with pepper, the coffee of Chipas-Veracruz delicious.

The Office “The breakfasts are very tasty and with a unique seasoning in Los Cabos, the breakfast is incredible with a privileged view of the sea, the waiters are very attentive, the prices are very affordable.

Don Manuel’s “The best place to have breakfast in Cabo. Delicious food (whether you take the buffet or order a la carte), excellent service and an extraordinary view, made us really enjoy it, I recommend it a great place to go with the family.”

The Cabo Bakery “Excellent choice for breakfast in Cabo San Lucas, the bread is the best I’ve tasted, the breakfast options are varied and at good prices.

The Best Restaurants With Mariachis in Cabo

You travel to Mexico and don’t want to listen to mariachis? If so, you’d better stay home.

There’s nothing more characteristic of Mexico than a mariachi serenade. And tell me, what better way to enjoy a good meal than with a musical background in the best Mexican style?

This is definitely one of the things you should do if you are traveling to Cabo.

But, of all the places you can go to eat, where can I get one with mariachis?

One of the places that offers you a delicious meal and an excellent Mariachi group is The Tropicana Inn Bar and Grill. Here you can enjoy an evening accompanied by the incredible Mexican style, however the mariachi group is not every day. So the best option to have this experience is to go Monday, Tuesday, Friday or Saturday from 7:30 pm.

And to continue with the Mexican atmosphere, two other options are Pancho’s Restaurant & Tequila Bar and Tres Gallos. Both places offer you a Mexican experience with live music so you can enjoy your vacation in the best possible way.

The Best Places to Practice Snorkel in Cabo

If you are an aquatic lover and like to snorkel, there are several areas of Cabo where you can get completely lost in an aquatic wonderland.

Going on vacation to Los Cabos and not going to its best beaches to practice this water sport would be like going to France without visiting the Eiffel tower. Something simply unforgivable.

Therefore, so that you don’t miss out on this experience, it is better to know which are the best places to practice it, because it is true that it can’t be done everywhere due to the strong marine currents that the area has (thanks to the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean).

One of the best places in the world for snorkeling is the Sea of Cortez. It has literally been called the “aquarium of the world” because of the beauty of the marine diversity you can find. If snorkeling on your trip is one of your priorities, this place is a must.

On the other hand, another good option is Playa Empacadora, which enjoys calm waters and safe swimming conditions. If you visit this place on a weekday, particularly early morning, you can enjoy a quiet scene with great snorkeling.

Another completely magical and beautiful place is Santa Maria Beach, which is part of a marine sanctuary. So if you want to see a real ocean life aquarium without having to take a boat trip (like the Sea of Cortez, for example), this is your place.

And finally, the place of Los Cabos that could not be missed, El Arco. You’ll have to go by boat to get there, but believe me, it’s worth it. The water in this area is relatively calm and you can appreciate tons of beautiful fish and you may even spy on more marine life while you are down there.

With these four places you have more than enough to choose from and enjoy the amazing seascapes that Los Cabos has to offer.

The Best Marine Park in Cabo

And continuing with marine life, another place you can’t miss if you love the diversity of aquatic species is Cabo Pulmo Marine Preserve.

This is the only coral reef ecosystem in the Gulf of California and one of the three remaining living reefs on the planet. This beautiful place is declared a natural protected area and a National Marine Park.

You can imagine the spectacle that can offer your eyes a visit to this unique and magical place while you enjoy different activities such as diving, sport fishing, canoeing, rowing and kayaking. All this with an impressive amount of marine life and different species.

Cabo Pulmo is certainly the best marine park in Cabo and a point that can’t be left off your to-do list during your trip.

The Best Places to Know History and Culture in Cabo

No trip will be complete if you do not allow yourself to know a little about the culture or history of the same.

Therefore, this point is mostly aimed at those who love to immerse themselves in new experiences, thus discovering a new and different world in each place they visit.

In Los Cabos, you can find these experiences more easily in the towns of San José del Cabo and Todos Santos.

These two areas allow you to appreciate the best of Mexican colonial architecture, as well as an incredible variety of galleries and a great atmosphere that you will love.

The colorful streets of Todos Santos and its charm for what they call “The Magic Town of Los Cabos” will give you the best idea of Mexican life.

On the other hand, Plaza Mijares in San Jose del Cabo, for example, is the main square of the city and is usually the ideal place to start a tour in the old town. It is full of trees and has an amphitheater where various cultural events are usually held.

You can start the tour with San Jose Church. This is located on the west side of Plaza Mijares and is an architectural piece worth appreciating. There is also the Town Hall and Casa de la Cultura.

Don’t miss visiting these two beautiful areas, because you will definitely not regret it.

With these 10 best things from Los Cabos, you can rest assured that you will have a unique trip. Think about it.

From the comfort of a Jacuzzi on your balcony, discovering a marine universe that will leave you speechless, to the experience of eating in the best vegan or sushi restaurants, and all this with the help of VIP Transportation Los Cabos ready to give you a safe trip and with the quality and luxury you need, there is no way you won’t enjoy your vacation in Los Cabos to the full.

Don’t wait any longer, pack your bags and come and spend a few days in the best destination in Mexico.

Cabo waits for you.

Wait Time in Los Cabos

Wait Time in Los Cabos

Everyone knows that travelling is a universal activity that makes even the bitterest of hearts happy. The feeling of discovering a new place and breathing in a different environment is the cure for any disease.

That’s why the faster you discover the Wanderlust spirit that is hidden in every existing being, the faster you will enjoy the wonderful experience of traveling.

However, not all good travel experiences are acquired simply by choosing any destination and throwing yourself into without a parachute.

Although improvisation is one of the keys to a world full of possibilities and experiences, when it comes to travel, not everything should be improvised.

This does not mean that your entire trip should be completely planned, because if you prefer to arrive at your destination and leave everything flowing and go where the wind takes you, there is no problem.

But, if it is true that there are some things that should not be improvised, or that you should simply know before the trip, so that everything goes as smoothly as possible and without a hint of stress.

Avoiding stress during the trip is the perfect way to ensure that your whole mood and energy remains intact from the start of your vacations to the end, allowing you to enjoy every second with a big smile and no worries. That’s the importance of these “previous data”.

And with these “pre-data” we mean important details such as finding the perfect destination, and after that, plane tickets, stay, transportation from the airport to the hotel, activities you can do at the destination, among others.

Among this short list, the most “complicated” thing is to select the perfect destination, which is not really a task of another world if you know what you are looking for your vacation.

Let’s suppose that what comes to your mind is a mixture of tradition, fun, and obviously, sand, sea, and sun are included. There’s no better place with that description than Los Cabos. And that’s how easy it is to achieve a desert paradise as your ideal destination.

So, if Los Cabos is your destination, it is an almost mandatory task that you take the time before the trip to acquire knowledge about it and as a result, everything flows in a better way.

Like this, the organization of your time during the trip, even if it is improvised, will be more profitable, especially if you include the Waiting Times of the activities and places of destination in the pre-departure information.

Every second of your time is valuable, especially during a trip because the idea is to make the most of every moment. That’s why nothing will help you more during the trip than having an idea of how long you have to wait to use a service, to do an activity, to wait for a taxi, or for anything you can imagine.

Then, if you want to acquire all this information based on the beautiful little piece of heaven called Los Cabos, you are in the right place. A few minutes on the following lines and you will be an expert on the subject.

Waiting Times in Los Cabos

To know the waiting times in this magical destination, you must first have an idea of the variety of activities you can do there.

As mentioned earlier, Los Cabos is considered an ideal destination for a dream vacation, and this is because it is a completely eclectic environment that suits all tastes.

In Los Cabos, you have everything from outdoor activities, such as visiting the famous Cabo San Lucas Arch, to quiet strolls through its colonial streets in towns like San José del Cabo and The Magid Little Town of Todos Santos.

You can also find an incredible variety of restaurants of all kinds (from national to international food), and most importantly, in Los Cabos you will find the most beautiful hotels and resorts in all of Baja California.

Among so many activities, there are obviously some whose waiting time you can save from home (such as hotel reservations); or activities whose wait times simply depend on the number of tourists or the season in which you travel (such as the number of visitors to the beaches, galleries, tours, etc.).

However, with this in mind, let’s talk a little bit about an approximate waiting time in certain categories where you can give an estimate, so that your plans don’t vary so much because you had to wait longer than you thought you would in some activity.

Waiting times in restaurants.

Los Cabos, being a mostly tourist town, can be as full of visitors in a low season as in the high season. However, with such a large number of restaurants, you won’t always have to wait an eternity for a table.

Most of the restaurants in Los Cabos have the reservation choice. In this way, your waiting time is likely to be minimal, which is ideal if you want to enjoy every second of the trip.

It is usual that when you want to try new flavors in a new destination you go straight to Google to tell you which are the best places in the locality to do it.

Therefore, when you have a slight idea of the restaurant you want to visit, try to make a reservation so that you can avoid unnecessary waiting time.

On the other hand, if you didn’t have time to make a reservation, or the place did not have that option, and you just have to go straight to someplace and wait for the best, here are some tips to keep your waiting time from being an eternity.

In this opportunity, Google will be your most reliable friend not only to tell you which places are the best to enjoy the amazing gastronomy of Los Cabos, but to give you an idea of the time of day when you can go to them.

But how?

One of the things you can do after you get a restaurant that catches your eye is to go Google maps and there you can see a “Popular Times” reference recently implemented in restaurants, which will give you an idea of the hours when the restaurant is usually fuller. This will definitely save you a lot of valuable vacation time and make you enjoy every second to the fullest.

And of course, this happens if we talk in general. Without leaving loose ends, let’s also mention a few places and their busiest times to give you an idea of the options you have.

If you go to San José del Cabo, for example, two places you can visit are Don Sánchez and La Osteria.

Don Sanchez, for example, is open every day of the week from 2 pm. However, it is usually more crowded from 7pm to 10pm.

And La Osteria, which opens Monday through Saturday from 11 am, has a higher flow of people from 8pm to 11pm.

Therefore you can enjoy their delicious food without having to wait so long if you decide to go in the afternoon.

However, if you are on the sides of Cabo San Lucas, the options could be Bajo La Luna, open every day from 12pm and whose busiest hours are from 6pm -10pm; and on the other hand there is Salvatore’s Restaurant, open from 11am-3pm and 6pm-10pm and which you can enjoy most in the noon hours as it is usually fuller from 6pm -10pm.

And a little outside of Cabo San Lucas in the Tourist Corridor you can also find the Sunset Monalisa and the restaurant Puerta Vieja.

The Sunset Monalisa, on one side, opens from 4 pm and its busiest hours are from 6 pm – 9 pm. And, the Puerta Vieja Restaurant, on its own, opens from 11 am and is usually fuller from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Now, if we go to the charming little town of Todos Santos, you can opt for Miguel’s Restaurant option, which opens from 11 am and is usually an older crowd between 12pm-3pm and 6pm-9pm. However, Saturdays are usually full most of the day.

Finally, in La Paz, you can find Sorstis Restaurant, whose attention to the public begins at 2 pm and whose busiest hours are 8-11, especially on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

With all of the above, you already have the necessary information so that the simple act of tasting exquisite Mexican or international food does not become an eternal mission and you can make the most of your time during your vacation.

Airport waiting times.

You’ve already seen that you can easily get rid of the inconvenience of wait time during lunchtime… however, one of the most tedious moments of a trip, and one that you can’t avoid, is waiting time at the airport.

This is why it is important that you have a brief idea of how long it will take you, to be mentally prepared.

To reach your destination (or any area of Los Cabos) you must first arrive at Los Cabos International Airport. This airport is one of the busiest in the country, for providing service to this tourist area, so it is important that you have some things in mind if you prefer to avoid a long wait.

First, what happens if you leave Los Cabos?

Like most airports worldwide, if your flight is domestic you must be 2 hours earlier, and in the case of international flights, you must be 3 hours earlier.

During this waiting time, you will be able to perform all the necessary procedures such as check-in, eat something and simply wait for a call.

Now, if you’re just getting to Los Cabos, the immigration and customs processes, and picking up your luggage are always activities that will take a while, so there’s no choice but to be patient.

It is not possible to give an estimated time because depending on whether the random customs system chooses you to check your luggage, it may take you longer or shorter than usual.

Therefore, when you arrive in Los Cabos keep a positive attitude throughout this process and be patient with as much time as it takes, anyway it is inevitable and not that you will last all your vacation at the airport.

However, it is true that if your flights are in the morning or afternoon, the process may be faster than during rush hour (11 am – 3pm), as it is at this time of day that the Los Cabos International Airport has a higher flow of users.

On the other hand, this airport has some food establishments such as Subway, Starbucks, Sbarro, among others, and exactly as mentioned earlier, as the rush hour is the busiest, it is more likely that you will have to wait much longer at this time if you want to eat in some of these places.

Therefore, whether you are arriving or departing, keeping this information in mind will help you know if you have enough time to wait for your meal if your flight is scheduled near these congested hours.

Knowing all this, there is nothing to worry about, all you need to know now is what will happen when you leave the airport.

Waiting times in Transportation Services.

Now that you’ve taken the headaches out of food and airport paperwork, there’s still one important detail to consider to make sure you don’t waste a second of your trip waiting any longer than necessary.

One of the most important things you should know about is the transportation or transportation services you can find in Los Cabos.

In Los Cabos you can find public transportation, taxis, car rental and private transportation.

But, what about the waiting times for each of these?

It all really depends on when you need the service. Let’s focus on the first time you need one of these, that is, when you leave the airport.

This is one of the times when the decision you make can really change your mood, as it is literally the first experience of your trip after leaving a tedious time at the airport with all the immigration processes.

So, if we analyze it a little bit, the least convenient thing here is to think about public transport for very obvious reasons (loss of time and lack of comfort).

Really, the last thing you want when you arrive at a dream vacation is to wait who knows how long for this transportation and then walk around with your luggage while you look for the hotel where you are going to stay.

And, in the same way, driving and maybe getting lost because you don’t know the area well is not the way you’ve been dreaming of starting that trip you’ve been waiting for.

Therefore, car rental is a decision you can make after you are at the hotel if you really want to avoid taxis and public transport, but for the journey from the airport to the hotel it is not the best option.

This leaves this service out and puts taxis and the private transport service on a scale.

And for you to make the decision yourself, let’s see who wins on that scale.

Would you rather have a new and clean car, with a nice driver service waiting for you right when you leave the airport without wasting time, knowing that you will be comfortable and safe and will not have to worry about anything?

Or would you rather stand in a long line to wait for the service of a taxi that does not guarantee your safety and comfort and that you don’t really know how long it will take?

I think the answer’s pretty easy to figure out, don’t you?

Therefore, in order to keep your waiting time to a minimum, the best thing you can do is to make the decision to use the private shuttle service for that first trip from the airport to the hotel, and why not for other moments of your vacation?

Now, another highlight is that you know which of Los Cabos’ private transportation services is right for you.

It’s not worth the trouble to spend your money on a private transportation service if you end up hiring one that doesn’t have the quality you deserve. It would be like paying more to have the same experience you would have on public transportation.

Fortunately, Los Cabos has one of the best private transportation services for that first trip. VIP Transportation Los Cabos is the ideal place for you to have a high-quality VIP service and not have to worry about anything.

Everything you expect from a good service is surpassed by VIP Transportation Los Cabos, from its vehicles in excellent condition to welcoming you with cold drinks in the warm climate of Los Cabos.

It is a service whose reputation for punctuality, safety, and high quality will leave you impressed and you will want to use it again every time you go to Los Cabos.

Then you don’t have to worry because we got off to a good start to the vacations you’ve been waiting for.

With this Waiting Times Guide, you are more than ready to improvise or plan your vacation properly, appreciate the value of every second and not regret any decision during the trip.

All you have to do is buy your tickets and jump into the beautiful tropical desert paradise that will undoubtedly give you the best vacation of your life.

Los Cabos is waiting for you!

Eat tacos in Los CabosHowever, there is one detail that you can’t miss that will give you a truly unique view of this town. Exactly, we’re talking about their Gastronomy.

Just by talking about Los Cabos being in Mexico, we know that we are talking about a gastronomy rich in varied ingredients, spicy and full of flavor. But, what makes Los Cabos unique is the freshness of its dishes, because its location (between the Cortes Sea and the Pacific Ocean) lends itself to giving you the best flavors of the sea with the best Mexican touch.

In addition, you can not only count on the flavors of the region, but you can also enjoy international cuisine, as this town has a variety of restaurants that offer gourmet international cuisine.

This means that your tastes don’t matter because the gastronomy of this place is perfect for those adventurers who always want to try new things and also for those who want to feel at home when eating.

But based first on the adventurous and curious for new flavors, follow the next lines and you will be able to know the typical dishes that you will find in this beautiful town and that you cannot miss.

Meals not to be missed

It would be a crime to travel to Los Cabos and not try at least one of the typical dishes you can get here. With the freshness of the sea and the Mexican seasoning, Los Cabos becomes a gourmet paradise that delights everyone’s palate.
However, let’s talk only about a top 5 of dishes not to be missed:

  • Food of the Poor “Comida de Pobres”
  • Chocolatas Clams
  • Güemes Tamales and Chicken Strips
  • Smoked Marlin
  • Fish or shrimp tacos

In short, trying some of these dishes will give you a different vision of Los Cabos and its customs, and you will be able to know it even more than just visiting its beaches.

Let us begin with the “Food of the Poor“. Although it’s a strange name, don’t let it fool you, it’s not at all what it sounds like. This ends up being a typical dish from Los Cabos that consists of a seafood soup accompanied by rice, beans, and flour tortillas.

Now, taking gastronomy to a higher level, another dish that echoes in Los Cabos is the Chocolatas Clams, whose curious preparation (Roasted on a bed of stones covered with a plant called romerillo) gives fruit to an exquisite dish with an incredible aroma.

On the other hand, Tamales and Fajados are a tradition that covers the entire Baja California Peninsula. The Tamales de Güemes, on one side, are prepared with chicken or pork meat, olive oil, raisins, and olives. And on the other hand are the Fajados de pollo with a typical seasoning of the town of La Paz, which consists of corn dough accompanied by chicken stew, wrapped in a corn leaf.

Finally, there is the Smoked Marlin and the Fish or Shrimp Tacos. Both exquisite dishes that will leave you wanting more.

Marlin, is prepared in several ways, but it is usually smoked and shredded to enhance its flavor. It is usually served with tacos, toast with vegetables and cheese, biscuits, among others, and its freshness is indescribable when it comes to Los Cabos.

On the other hand, the Fish or Shrimp Tacos end up being a classic that consists of fish fillets and shrimp breaded in corn tortillas with a delicious salad of cabbage, vegetables, and sauce to taste.

And to avoid drowning on the way, just mention a typical local drink that goes well with any of the dishes mentioned above, and this is Clamato, a refreshing drink based on tomato and clam.

However, if it’s too much for you, you can always opt for a liqueur-like Damiana, one of the most popular in the area.

With such a variety of flavors, it’s hard not to be enchanted by this town and not want to try new things every second of your trip.

Of course, since nothing is impossible, it is likely that one day during your vacation you will wake up wanting a family pizza instead of tacos, or a hamburger instead of a seafood soup.

For this and more Los Cabos is more than ready, as you may even find yourself with the surprise of getting this type of food with a Mexican style and flavor like no other – the best of home abroad!

Where to Eat in Los Cabos

Now you know the dishes you can’t miss if you travel to this little paradise between two seas, but it won’t do you any good if you don’t know where to go.

So it’s a good plan to have a first idea of the locations you can get in Los Cabos and secondly which places are the best places to taste the gastronomy in each of them.

Los Cabos has several different areas, San Jose del Cabo, the perfect colonial and quiet place for a relaxing vacation, Cabo San Lucas, where the party never ends, Pacífico, with the best views you can imagine, Todos Santos, the magical little town waiting for you, and La Paz the breath of fresh air you need in your life.

So if Los Cabos is your ideal vacation destination, the first thing you need to do is to choose which area will be the one for your trip, or you can simply make the decision to get to know them all.

In one way or another it is necessary that you know the ideal places to taste the best dishes in each of these:

1. San Jose del Cabo:

Let’s start with the closest area to Los Cabos International Airport. San Jose del Cabo has a wide variety of places where you can lose your head in the flavors of Baja California.

Let’s talk first about the places where you can discover typical Mexican flavors. The first place would be Casianos, located in the heart of San Jose del Cabo, that with a colorful interior decorated in a striking way gives you a unique experience capturing the essence of Mexican cuisine in all its dishes.

On the other hand, there is El Chilar, whose menu is full of succulent Mexican specialties prepared mostly with tasty peppers. In addition to that, to everyone’s delight, it changes its menu monthly and has more than 140 wine labels and 30 Tequila brands, there is nothing more that can be asked of this magnificent place.

And finally, among the highlights of Mexican food is Jazmin’s, which is located just behind the majestic colonial church of San Jose del Cabo. In addition to offering you the best of Mexican cuisine, it also has a variety of vegetarian specialties and its decoration takes you back to the time of the Mexican past, giving you the best experience for your dream vacation.

Now, if you’re looking to try food that reminds you of home or just dig a little deeper into international food, one of the first places you can mention is Baan Thai.

This place is entirely dedicated to taking your palate to another world, or … to Thailand. With fresh, aromatic and slightly spicy ingredients you will be able to enjoy the most exquisite Thai dishes in an almost outdoor environment in which you will feel like you are in the middle of a jungle on the Asian continent, and the best of all is that it is located in the heart of the city.

And you can also find La Dolce Italian Ristorante, also located in the center of the city and where you will find the best dishes of Italian cuisine throughout Baja California. A completely pleasant space that will exceed your expectations.

Finally, to close with a finishing touch, nothing like hamburgers, beer and Rock & Roll, and this is something you can only find in Rock and Brews. It is the ideal place for lovers of American food and the biggest fans of rock and live music.

2. Cabo San Lucas:

Now we’re heading for the place that never sleeps and where the fun never stops. Cabo San Lucas is one of the most visited areas of Los Cabos and therefore is where you will find the largest variety of places to eat.

As in San Jose del Cabo, the places you can find here satisfy both international and Mexican food tastes, so you don’t have to worry about your cravings.

If we start with the international, the first place without a doubt should be the Amarone restaurant. Completely mastering the art of Italian cuisine, Amarone offers you the most exquisite dishes with the freshest and highest quality ingredients. A place you definitely can’t overlook.

Now, if instead of Italian you’re looking for something more Asian, Cabo San Lucas has the modern Arts & Sushi Goyito San for you, a must for all lovers of Japanese cuisine. The best way to spend time inside or outside the restaurant and with a quick service and a completely pleasant treatment.

And from Asia, we’re going to Brazil, where the best meat cut awaits you. With its all-Brazilian style, charcoal-baked skewers are a dish you can’t help but delight in.

On the other hand, there is El Galeón, which after 20 years is still a well-known and successful place in Cabo San Lucas. This beautiful place has delicious Italian dishes and an incredible view of the Los Cabos Marina. The perfect opportunity to enjoy a first-class culinary experience.

And now if you’re looking for a completely international experience, The Gallery is the place for you. In addition to offering you incredible views, it gives you the opportunity to choose from shrimp soup, a classic Italian dish, to Thai mushrooms, giving you an incredible international combination and unbeatable quality.

And to finish with the international, located next to the marina and being an excellent option for a romantic meal is the restaurant Ole Ole, where you will find an excellent service that offers you the best of Spanish and international cuisine.

The Mexican food, on the other hand, can be found in various places in the town. One of them is Baja Cantina, which offers the most representative Mexican and U.S. dishes for more than a decade. With its views and service from breakfast to dinner, it has everything you need to discover the flavors of Baja California.

Country House, by its own, will make you feel like you’re in a cowboy movie. Located in the middle of Los Cabos you will have much more to offer than the experience of country music, as its food will be something you won’t be able to forget.

Now, if we are on our way to a warm and cool place, in Playa el Medano you can find the restaurant Las Palmas, which only with the beautiful view of the Arc has all the positive points at its side. Here you will be able to enjoy the best seafood, which, as they themselves say,

“if the fish and shellfish could be fresher, they would still be at sea”.

And if we are talking about seafood, Lorenzillo’s, the place specialized in lobsters and seafood since 1979, could not be left out. Besides making your palate start to dance, it gives you a complete experience in a marine style place with a vibrant atmosphere and the most beautiful views of the sea.

On the other hand, this Mi Casa, located in an old building with an authentic Mexican style and a gastronomic variety that will astonish you. And finally, the famous Pancho’s which is located in downtown Cabo San Lucas. This cozy place is considered the first Mexican restaurant in Los Cabos and offers you the best of authentic traditional cuisine with the seasoning of several of the country’s regions.

Cabo San Lucas and its incredible variety are one of the best options for a perfect vacation.

3. Pacific:

Pacific, is located a few minutes from Cabo San Lucas, if not almost the same location, so if your stay is in this area you can go to any of the restaurants mentioned above without any problem.

4. Todo Santos:

Todo Santos, known as the Magic Town of Los Cabos, will undoubtedly make you feel the magic through the delicious dishes you can find.

Here you can find everything from the typical Mexican dishes that every visitor is dying to try, to international food (mostly Italian).

And, although it may not be as varied as the one we saw in Cabo San Lucas, you’ll have more than enough of the places we’ll mention.

Let’s start with La Garra, one of the best local live music restaurants, which offers everything from the most typical Mexican dishes to all American options (hamburgers), plus the most popular Chilean fillings and fish sashimi in the area. With its colorful and enchanting atmosphere, decorated with film posters from the golden age of Mexican cinema, it will give you an unparalleled experience.

In short, a good option for all tastes. And with the same concept of gastronomic variety are also the options of Beach Club and Surf Cerritos and La Coronela (in the Hotel California).

The Cerritos Beach and Surf Club offer you an ideal coastal environment with a gastronomic variety ranging from the best seafood to fries and hamburgers. It is the ideal place to spend a Sunday afternoon with a beach stage, admiring the sea and watching the surfers between the waves, and all this with jazz music in the background.

And then there’s the famous restaurant La Coronela, which has an incredible menu ready to blow your mind, with dishes made mainly with local organic ingredients. In this wide and colorful place, you can find everything from exotic and unconventional dishes to the most traditional Mexican and American food. And best of all, it is part of the Hotel California, one of the best-known hotels in Todos Santos.

And to finish and rest a bit from the salty food, you’ll find the Café Todos Santos, which is literally a two-faced coffee. This can be accessed from two opposite sides of the street, finding from one side an atmosphere of traditional coffee (cakes, desserts, coffee, etc.) with a completely artistic touch in its decoration, which is to be expected given the current of art that has Todos Santos.

However, on the other hand, you will find a kind of open-air restaurant where you can continue tasting the varied Mexican and Italian cuisine.

With these places in mind, traveling willing to not overlook the delicacies of Mexican cuisine, your trip will be the best you’ve ever done.

La Paz:

And finally, we have La Paz, which is not far behind in offering you incredible places to enjoy the exquisite food. If you are looking for a Mexican atmosphere and good coffee, food, and even alcohol, the first place to mention is definitely Frida Café, one of the most popular among locals.

Another of La Paz’s favorites is the Sorstis Restaurant, the place that offers you the best of haute cuisine with an incredible fusion of the principles of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine, all to the delight of your palate.

On the other hand, there is the Tailhunter Restaurant, which besides being ideal to appreciate the sunsets of La Paz, has a menu that offers an American version of Mexican food that will make you feel at home.

La Paz also has for you the J&R Ribs, with its exquisite menu and the reputation of serving the best ribs in northwest México, definitely must be on your list. The ideal place to kill any meat craving.

The Nim Restaurant, on the other side, is located in the heart of the historical center.  Its menu, which has influences from distant countries, will leave you completely satisfied. This place gives you a perfect sense of balance between a beautiful environment and an ideal dining experience.

There is also the restaurant Las Tres Virgenes. In this place, you will enjoy what is the real Mexican food, from its atmosphere in a beautiful garden to a completely varied menu that offers you from the best cuts of meat to elaborate dishes based on seafood.

And finally, you can also find the restaurant Mc Fisher. Located just three blocks from the famous Malecon, it is a place that will leave you wanting more after tasting its famous fish tacos and other seafood, as well as the “tacos gobernador” a popular of the region.

Considering all these incredible places mentioned, there’s no way you won’t be able to enjoy the best food in Baja California while getting to know this charming town in depth.

An ideal destination should have everything you need for your comfort, entertainment, and fun, and should finally suit all tastes.

And what better way for these lines to show how easy it is to find an ideal destination than by mentioning one that has the necessary characteristics and is perfect for a dream vacation.

And by this, we mean the capital of the state of Baja California Sur in Mexico. Exactly, we’re talking about La Paz.

This destination, full of charm and extraordinary beauty ensures you from moments of complete fun on its beaches, to the satisfaction of appreciating the most beautiful sunsets from its famous Malecon.

However, for you to be completely convinced, let’s talk a little more about everything this destination has to offer.

La Paz is characterized for being a quiet and welcoming town that offers you the most beautiful landscapes and gives you the opportunity to enjoy the best luxuries of the Baja California peninsula.

Its culture and people will give you a breath of fresh air and in less than you expect you will be so delighted with this destination that it will surely be the one for your vacation in more than one opportunity.

In order for you to fully understand all the advantages that this destination offers, we are going to divide the activities you can do in La Paz into different categories.

This way, just by investing a little time in the following lines it is very likely that the next thing you do is to start planning your next vacation with the desire to immediately visit this ideal destination.

5 Things NOT to Be Missed.

There are so many activities to do in La Paz and so many interesting places to visit that, so that you don’t miss any little detail during your vacation, here are 5 things you shouldn’t miss (not even in your dreams) if you travel to this beautiful destination:

  • Its Beaches and Outdoor Activities.
  • Taste its exquisite gastronomy.
  • Enrich yourself with its culture and architecture.
  • Visit the Malecon.
  • Enjoy the variety of options for your stay.

If you plan in such a way that you can enjoy all the activities mentioned above, you will surely have the best vacation of your life.

And you’re probably wondering what outdoor activities are available? or What are the best places to taste its gastronomy? and a lot of other questions like that.

Well, for your good fortune, all the answers you’re looking for are precisely in the following lines.

  • Beaches and Nature of La Paz

La Paz is considered an ecological and natural paradise, as it is located on the coast with the Cortes Sea and not only has a spectacle to delight the view of its inhabitants and visitors, but is a town with a wealth of flora and fauna impressive.

This beautiful destination has beautiful and very visited beaches such as El Tecolote, Balandra, Pichilingue, El Tesoro, among others.

But let’s go into a little more detail.

Tecolote, for example, is the perfect beach for water sports. This is located just 26 kilometers from the city of La Paz and is a favorite of tourists thanks to its calm waters and beautiful sunsets.

This beautiful beach has commercial spaces for your enjoyment where you will find from tours and equipment for water activities to restaurants and small shops.

Balandra, on the other hand, is the true icon of La Paz. It is located a few kilometers from the city, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Because of its clear and calm waters, it is a favorite of visitors.

Visiting La Paz and not knowing Playa Balandra is something that cannot happen.

Also this Pichilingue Beach, only 20 km from the city of La Paz. With its white sands, soft waves and the view of the bay and the Pichilingue terminal, it is the ideal place for children with water activities such as snorkeling and kayaking.

Finally, El Tesoro, …having a name like this one, promises to be a beach without equal. With its beautiful turquoise and crystal clear waters it is literally a hidden treasure in Baja California.

On the other hand, very close to the capital is Espiritu Santo Island, which in addition to having been named World Heritage Site by UNESCO, with its beauty and tranquility being an uninhabited island is the ideal setting for all visitors.

On this beautiful island, you can dive, fish or just relax and appreciate the scenery.

It has 99 km of area in which you can admire different species such as the heron, red-tailed hawk, the black hare and sometimes you can see sea lions and seals sunbathing in addition to its impressive cliffs.

Honestly, what more could you ask for?

And since we are talking about the beaches, we only have to mention two of the most important activities in La Paz that are mandatory for a complete experience.

You didn’t go to La Paz if you didn’t swim with the Sea Lions at Cortes Sea. This is a unique activity that offers you this destination, as you have the opportunity to swim with these soft and elegant creatures in their natural habitat, around Espiritu Santo Island.

Similarly, if your trip is from January to March (sadly this natural spectacle only happens during this time of year) it is unforgivable to go to La Paz without going to see the whales that, during this season, migrate from Alaska to the warmer waters to have their calves and those waters are precisely those of the Cortes Sea , so these months end up being the season for whale watching.

And this is only related to the natural part of La Paz, imagine everything else it has to offer. It is definitely a perfect holiday destination.

  • Where to Eat in La Paz?

Have you ever heard the phrase “The best way to know a city is to eat it“?

Well, if you haven’t done so before, get used to the idea, because with a cuisine as enriched as the Mexican one, one of the things you can’t miss is to try and get to know all these incredible flavors that La Paz has to offer.

Let’s talk then about some of the most important places where you can enjoy dishes that range from the most typical Mexican to Mexican food with an American touch.

Let’s start with the Frida Café, one of the most popular among locals. If you are looking for a Mexican atmosphere and a good coffee, food and even alcohol, this place that is open until late is completely at your disposal.

On the other hand, there is the Tailhunter Restaurant, which besides being ideal to appreciate the sunsets of La Paz, has a menu that offers an American version of Mexican food that will make you feel at home. Could there be anything better?

Maybe, because in La Paz you will also find the Sorstis Restaurant, the place that offers you the best of haute cuisine with an incredible fusion of the principles of Mediterranean and Mexican food, all for the delight of your palate. Something you definitely can’t miss.

There’s also Mc Fisher. Located just three blocks from the famous Malecon, it is a place that will leave you wanting more after tasting its famous fish tacos and other seafood, as well as the “tacos gobernador” a popular of the region. Going to Mc Fisher is a must if you want to taste the delicious fruits that the whole coast has to offer.

La Paz also has for you the visited J&R Ribs. The ideal place to kill any meat craving. With its exquisite menu and reputation for serving the best ribs in northwest Mexico, it should definitely be on your list.

The Nim Restaurant, on the other hand, is located in the heart of the historical center in a beautiful old house that still preserves the charm of its time. This place gives you a perfect sense of balance between a beautiful environment and an ideal dining experience. Its menu, which has influences from distant countries, will leave you completely satisfied.

And although there are many more places you can go, but not to go too far, the last place to mention is the restaurant Las Tres Virgenes. In this place, you will enjoy what is the real Mexican food, from its atmosphere in a beautiful garden to a completely varied menu that offers you from the best cuts of meat to elaborate dishes based on seafood.

With so many places and so much gastronomy to enjoy, all you have to do is plan where you will eat every meal of the day.

By the way, vacation calories don’t count, so there’s no excuse!

  • Culture and Architecture of La Paz

Now it’s time to give a little excitement on the trip to those who, rather than loving going to the beach, love to soak up the culture and history of their destination.

And, although the ocean view is a great distraction that leaves the cultural part of this town a little aside, La Paz has a very rich culture and a variety of historical sites to visit.

Let’s start with the Cathedral Nuestra Señora de La Paz. Located right in the center of the city, this old neoclassical church is a stopover you can’t miss if you want to appreciate the history and ancient architecture. Inside there is a replica of the tabernacle of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, baroque altarpieces, among other impressive things. Don’t stop visiting it!

On the other hand, another place to learn and discover new things is the Whale Museum, located on the Malecon (Where you see a giant whale skeleton, there is no way to miss it).

Stop by this beautiful museum and discover much more about the evolution and conservation of the great whales that migrate to Baja California in La Paz.

And another museum that should also be on your list is the Regional Museum of Anthropology and History, where you can find stones with cave paintings, regional handicrafts, weapons that once belonged at one time, among other objects, in addition to its collection of fossils and an ethnobotanical garden. All this trying to give you a glimpse of Baja California’s past from prehistoric times onwards.

Finally, if, after discovering all of the above, you still want more, what you can do is a day trip to Todos Santos, the enchanted town of Baja California that lies in the middle point between La Paz and Cabo. This day trip is perfect for you to enjoy the desert landscapes of the peninsula and experience an oasis in the desert.

In Todos Santos you will find from art galleries (also known as an artists’ village) to picturesque streets with colorful facades.

With so much to discover about the beautiful culture of La Paz, you will be more than happy to visit all the places mentioned and it will be an experience you will never forget.

  • The Malecon

It was to be expected that a famous place as El Malecón would have a unique section and would obviously be a must-have on your to-do list when you arrived at your destination.

This spectacular 5 km stretch of pavement that borders the sea offers you the best views of the horizon and the most beautiful sunsets. On the Malecon, you can find cafes, bars, restaurants, benches, and art. In short, it is an atmosphere that invites you to relax and enjoy the best of this town.

And at the end of the day, this is what life is all about, about enjoying, having fun and capturing unforgettable “treasure” moments.

Now, if you are already familiar with this little word you should know that it is not all in the decision to put it into practice, but also in making a good choice regarding the destination and what it offers you.

And, if what you are looking for these “treasured” moments are completely unforgettable experiences, you don’t have to wait for Alice’s Wonderland to fall from the sky, because there is already a completely magical place in Mexico that will undoubtedly give you what you are looking for.

If you go to Baja California you will find a small paradise called Los Cabos, where you will be able to enjoy its desert landscapes, the Cortes Sea, the Pacific Ocean and an endless number of beautiful places.

This charming town in Baja California has been one of the most visited in recent years because it has the advantage of offering a wide variety of activities to suit all tastes.

Los Cabos has beautiful beaches, luxury hotels and a variety of beautiful areas that you cannot miss.

However, to achieve true magic, it is not enough for you to travel to Los Cabos, but to get to know directly one of the areas that it has and which is literally called a “magical place”: Todos Santos.

This small town of colorful streets and charming colonial appearance is known as the magical town of Los Cabos, is a haven for artists, hippies, and farmers (in addition to a good number of visitors who are attracted by its good atmosphere and charm).

You will only need a few hours in this place to fall in love with its cozy atmosphere and its incredible views to appreciate the beautiful sunsets that only Los Cabos can offer you.

It is also literally like an oasis you get in the desert, because to get to Todos Santos the roads give you unbeatable desert landscapes and the reward is a paradise full of color and charm.

And you’re probably wondering… What activities Todos Santos offers?

Clearly, for Todos Santos to be a top spot on your list of destinations it must have a variety of places and activities for you to enjoy.

And yes, this magical town has everything from desert beaches where surfing has attracted travelers from all over the world for years, art galleries and colonial architecture, to hotels, resorts, and restaurants that will leave you stunned.

If you want to discover in detail everything that this beautiful destination has to offer, you are in the right place, you only need to spend a few minutes in this quick reading to end up completely convinced that Todos Santos is the ideal place for your next trip.

Activities in Todos Santos

As any ideal place for a perfect vacation, this destination has three important things to offer:

  • Unmatched Beaches and Outdoor Activities.
  • Restaurants for your enjoyment.
  • Dream Stay.

As long as you are comfortable in a luxury hotel, you can taste a cuisine like no other and have sun, sand and a perfect view of the sea, all this at a short distance, you will definitely not need anything else.

Let’s take a closer look at each of the three points above to begin to understand why Todos Santos is the perfect place to vacation.

1.Unmatched Beaches and Outdoor Activities

One of the best advantages of Todos Santos is that it has the most beautiful beaches and the perfect waves for surfing.

All the lovers of this sport take this destination as the number one destination at the moment of vacationing because the experience that these beaches offer you is like no other.

And it is very obvious that you could simply go to visit the beaches of the nearby areas or go to know other natural attractions that Los Cabos offers you such as The Arch. However, the beaches of Todos Santos are so welcoming that you will most likely decide not to leave the area.

The most listened to and recognized beaches in the world are Los Cerritos, San Pedrito, and La Pastora.

However, you can also find other beaches such as Punta Lobos and Los Algodones.

Now, for you to be convinced, let’s talk about what these beaches have to offer.

Playa Cerritos

(one of the most visited beaches) is where most people spend all their time in the water, as its waves are perfect for both beginner and professional surfers. Also, if you have not practiced this sport you can rent a board and be encouraged to have new experiences.

On the other hand,

Playa San Pedrito

is a magical place that hides behind unmarked desert roads. This beautiful paradise of abundant palm trees that appears from nowhere after a walk on dirt roads, is a lonely and beautiful beach surrounded by steep cliffs.

It does not have a perfect swell like Los Cerritos Beach, because it does not always have an adequate current for swimming. However, it is such an incredibly beautiful place that it should be on your to-do list without hesitation.

You can also enjoy

Playa Pescadero,

the ideal option when you want to give yourself a relaxing time away from the crowd. Also, thanks to its waves, it is another option for surf lovers.

Unlike the beaches already mentioned,

Punta Lobos

is not the place to go surfing, as it is actually a place that is being visited recently and you can only admire the local fishermen arriving at full speed and enjoy the incredible view it offers you. Without a doubt, just because of the landscape it offers, it is worth visiting. In addition, at the northern end of the beach is the El Faro Beach Club, which has a nice pool in front of the waves.

Finally, there is

Los Algodones,

which like the previous beach is more of a coast to observe than a beach. It is a usual walk that can be done starting from Punta Lobos heading north along some dirt roads that will finally take you to some cliffs with a view of a majestic turquoise sea that crashes against the old port (now an abandoned fishing port), where you can admire a colony of sea lions that have made this space their home.

And if that’s not enough, there are other outdoor activities you can do, such as hiking or mountain biking around Sierra de la Laguna.

So as you can see, there are plenty of possibilities for you to connect with nature and enjoy a breath of fresh air around this charming and magical town of Los Cabos.

2.Restaurants for your enjoyment

Since you’ve seen all the beaches that Todos Santos has to offer and you are surely more and more convinced that this is the place you’ve been looking for, let’s talk about a little bit of delicious gastronomy that Los Cabos can delight you with.

Clearly, you can get from the typical Mexican dishes that every visitor is dying to try (such as tacos, stuffed chiles, tamales, among others), to international food (mostly Italian) if what you are looking for is to feel at home.

Since it’s obvious that you’re going to become more and more convinced that Todos Santos will be the destination for your next vacation, let’s talk directly about the best-known places in this area where you can discover all the charms of the varied Mexican and international gastronomy.

Let’s start with La Garra, one of the best local live music restaurants. In this colorful and charming place, decorated with movie posters from the golden age of Mexican cinema, you have to offer the most popular Chilean fillings and sashimi fish in the area. It’s the kind of restaurant that offers you everything from the most typical Mexican dishes to all-American options (hamburgers).

In short, a good option for all tastes. And with the same concept of gastronomic variety are also the options of Cerritos Beach Club and Surf and La Coronela (in the Hotel California).

Let’s start with the Cerritos Beach and Surf Club. This is the ideal place to spend a Sunday afternoon with a beach stage, admiring the sea and watching the surfers between the waves, and all this with jazz music in the background. This place offers an ideal coastal environment with a variety of cuisine ranging from the best seafood to fries and hamburgers.

Now, on the other hand, there is the famous restaurant La Coronela, which is the restaurant that is part of the Hotel California, one of the best known in Todos Santos. La Coronela has an incredible menu ready to leave you speechless, with dishes made mainly with local organic ingredients. In this wide and colorful place, you can find everything from exotic and unconventional dishes to the most traditional Mexican and American food.

La Coronela, a jewel of Todos Santos that you cannot miss.

And, although there are many more places where you can enjoy, but not to make this too extensive, let’s mention one last place that more than being a restaurant is a coffee shop, but with an unexpected twist.

Café Todos Santos is literally a two-faced coffee. This can be accessed from two opposite sides of the street, finding from one side an atmosphere of traditional coffee (cakes, desserts, coffee, etc.) with a completely artistic touch in its decoration, which is to be expected given the current of art that Todos Santos has.

However, on the other hand, you will find a kind of open-air restaurant where you can continue tasting the varied Mexican and Italian cuisine.

After all this, what more could you ask for?

3. Dream Stay

So far, all the charms of Todos Santos indicate that it is an ideal place to vacation. From its beaches that resemble a little piece of heaven, to the gastronomy that delights your palate, it really doesn’t seem like this place needs anything more to be perfect.

Still, it still surprises us. And this is where the third and final point that makes this destination the right one comes in: The Stay.

Everyone knows that a good holiday is not just about the activities you can do or the places your destination has to offer.

The stay, although it may not seem so obvious, is a point of real importance and should be considered when planning your dream vacation because it doesn’t matter  how good a beautiful beach is, if when you return to the hotel you arrive at a place in bad condition that does not provide the comfort you deserve.

This is a problem that you will not find in Todos Santos, because this town has a variety of hotels that will give you the best attention and an unforgettable stay.

Let’s mention some of the most recognized hotels in Todos Santos so that you have an idea of the wonders that this town has for you.

Let’s start with the Guaycura Boutique Hotel Beach Club & Spa. This beautiful dream hotel is located a few steps from the main square of the magical city of Todos Santos and can be appreciated in this combination of beach and oasis of Baja California Sur.

Its architectural design that harmoniously unites the ancient and the modern, combined with its exquisite decoration and details of good artistic taste, are the basis to offer a high-quality service, totally personalized.

Definitely, with places like this, it’s impossible not to want to stay in Todos Santos.

On the other hand, there is La Hacienda Cerritos, an exclusive luxury boutique hotel recognized in the town. This is located on a private cliff, where you can find a good dose of the magic of Todos Santos.

In addition to being a charming place, it has the advantage of being right in front of Los Cerritos beach which, as we have already mentioned, is one of the most recognized worldwide and is a favorite for all surf lovers. What more could you ask for?

And speaking of world famous things…. the next one is a Hotel that, although is not the one the Eagles refer to in their 1976 hit, is as charming and magical as they describe it. Yeah…. you got it right. We’re talking about the Hotel California.

This famous Todos Santos hotel offers a variety of sumptuously decorated and imaginative rooms and suites. Each room is decorated differently with pieces of art and furniture from around the world, creating a truly unique experience.

Don’t miss an unbeatable stay at this famous hotel in Baja California, while you enjoy the scent of the oasis from your room and fall in love with the idyllic climate or a beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

And following the route through the hotels of Todos Santos, the next one is the Hotel Posada La Poza, the place where nature decorates the surrounding environment and immerses it in an atmosphere of tranquility.

This beautiful hotel is located in front of the Pacific Ocean. Here you will find the magic and tranquility of Todos Santos in a place that is located on the beach next to the only freshwater lagoon and Palmar in the area. It’s easy to pass by without noticing the place and that’s part of the magic of Posada La Poza, a charming eight-room boutique hotel that goes well beyond a bed and breakfast.

Its rooms are designed with modern, traditional Mexican décor and feature private terraces overlooking the gardens, saltwater pool, saltwater jacuzzi and freshwater estuary, which is a majestic bird sanctuary.

And if you’re still not convinced, let’s mention another place that will leave you wanting more days in Los Cabos.

So, the last one is La Posada Todos Santos, built in 1870 as the property of a sugar baron, the Inn is the only historic Hacienda Hotel in Todos Santos.

It is located in the city center and is within walking distance of all restaurants, shops, and galleries, as well as a beautiful whale watching beach.

“Like the setting of a novel by Gabriel García Márquez, the brick and adobe walls of the Hostería Todos Santos resonate with the possibility that something magical might happen here”.

Whether you’re planning a few days excursion from major resorts or a full exploration of the peninsula, this is a great place to stop. If you’re looking for a quiet place to read a good book (or even write one), you’ll find that Todos Santos Inn is the perfect place to retire.

With so many options available and all of them so charming, it’s impossible not to be completely sure that Todos Santos is exactly the place you need to visit on your next trip.

Now, the next thing you need to know is in what exactly part of Los Cabos this magical little town is located.

How to get there?

Todos Santos is located 110 km ( 1h 11m) from Los Cabos International Airport, between Cabo San Lucas and La Paz. Therefore you need a transport service (either public or private) to be able to get you to this magical area without any problem.

But, not all this transport stuff is as simple as it sounds.

Although it’s not something to worry about when planning a trip, the transfer from the airport to the hotel is something you shouldn’t leave unimportant and decide to improvise.

Nothing good remains to improvise a transport, especially if it is a place you are traveling to for the first time and do not know.

For this reason, here is one last piece of advice to make sure that when you decide it’s time to visit this charming little town, you do it the right way and everything will be perfect.

Generally, when looking for a type of transportation from the airport to the hotel the public, taxis and car rentals are usually discarded. And you’re probably wondering why?

The answer is simple.

If we analyze the reasons in depth, they will come out alone and you will end up realizing that none of these will offer you comfort, tranquility and security in what is the first transfer, the first experience, in this adventure that you are about to start in Los Cabos.

And it is of utmost importance that for you to start off on the right foot and your mood to continue at the top throughout the trip, the first transfer to the hotel is a peaceful and happy experience.

It is then necessary that you forget those three types of transportation mentioned above and go for the safe: The Private Transportation service.

And it’s not a difficult task to get one in Los Cabos either, because this town has the best private transportation service you can imagine.

VIP Transportation Los Cabos is the service that will give you the safety, comfort and perfect experience, all for high-quality care at a totally reasonable price.

This transportation company has an impeccable reputation, is known for giving a completely VIP experience (they wait for you with cold drinks to get used to the hot climate of Los Cabos), besides being more than punctual, respectful and have safe and clean vehicles.

In short, if you go to Todos Santos and, without thinking about it, you use VIP Transportation Los Cabos service, you will have a dream vacation that you will never forget.

Don’t think so much, dare to enjoy a unique experience in Los Cabos.

How to Ruin a Trip to Los Cabos …and 11 things you are about to do to make it happen

There are many ways of ruining your trip in the best style of Mr. Bean, that’s right, getting things wrong for being a fool, and I don’t mean doing nonsenses, I mean not even knowing what you are about to do wrong. So let’s leave the improvisation to comedians, and be smarter than that.

You and only you are responsible for having the perfect Cabo trip, you just need to be a little cautious.

In Los Cabo, there is no place for slips, you’ll see, if you’ve never been there before, you must know that the place is better known for being the heaven of Mexico.

And the reason is that it really has everything to please you. From its incredible diversity of landscapes, to its delicious food, luxury spas for relaxation, wild adventure activities, and a colorful nightlife.

Los Cabos is pretty much the “Genie in the bottle” of travel locations, conceiving you whatever wish you want to come true, you just have to ask for it.

So why taking the risk of ruin it? Just don’t!

We know that when it comes to traveling abroad, some things can slip through your fingers; such as having a delayed flight, overpaying services because you don’t know very well how the local currency works, or misunderstanding something due to the language interference. All of these things could ruin the fun of your trip.

Now, since we are pro-fun, (and we are sure so are you) we are going to tell you all the ways possible in which you could ruin a trip to Los Cabos, so that you don’t do it, and have the most awesome vacations.

1. Not packing the right stuff

The first thing you have to know is that you could ruin your trip even before it begins if you pack the wrong way.

Not packing the right things could be a headache later because even if you can buy those things there, they could cost a lot more. To avoid all that follow the next packing tips:

Pack light, overpacking is a mistake since you use unnecessary space in your suitcase that you could use for bringing back home things you want to buy in Los Cabos, or gifts you’ll probably want to bring for people you love.

Know that you won’t need to pack a raincoat given its dry climate, but a light sweater will be fine for the cooler nights.

Pack bug repellent. In Los Cabos you’ll find some bugs around, and probably you are not used to this. In Los Cabos, repellents are expensive and in limited supply, so the best is to buy some at home and bring them with you.

Pack a good sunscreen. Don’t be a fool and ruin your trip getting second-degree burns from exposure on the first day. It is very easy to get burned when you are relaxing around the pool or swimming at the beach. The sun in Los Cabos shines bright and strong, and though at first, it feels warm and nice in your skin it could have serious consequences later if you don’t protect your skin.

2. Not having a Plan B in case something happens with your flight.

You can skip the improvisation and the distress around the airport with just doing a little work from home.

This is what you have to do, write down the airline’s phone number, follow the airline on Twitter (which is usually the fastest way to get an answer), make sure the airline has your contact information in case they need to reach you, check your reservation one day before your trip in case there have been any kind of changes, or you missed an email, and finally print the boarding cards even if they’re on your phone; we know everything works digitally now, but, do you  know that feeling of disorientation when your phone’s battery dies and you don’t know what to do? Well, it is a lot worse if you are at an international airport.

3. Losing your immigration card and visa.

When you arrive, you have to fill out a tourist card which they will stamp, then take off the bottom and give it back to you; you have to take care of that card as if it were your baby (or your pet) because you’ll have to present it at your departure.

But what happens if you lose it? Well, you will not be able to leave the country until you get a new one, you will have to go to the airport’s Immigration office, tell the agent on duty that you have lost your tourist card and need to have it reissued. This will cost $30 USD and it might take you some time. Does that sound more fun than drinking cocktails in a beautiful beach? I don’t think so, so keep your card and visa save at your hotel and instead bring a copy with you.

4. Sticking with the first option they offer you

Whether it’s to take a tour, buy clothing items, or take a taxi (taxis are expensive), don’t take the first option if you want to save some money. Some people, not everyone, will give you a higher price for being a tourist, so always ask around and don’t feel committed to staying with the first option even if they are being too nice with you, because many times the second or third option offers you better prices, and even more variety.

5. Not traveling at the appropriate time of the year, as much for the climate as for the prices

Before you buy your plane ticket you need to make sure that you are traveling at the appropriate time of the year.

Mexico has a warm and dry climate during most of the year but a sudden storm could ruin all your plans in Cabo, so that this doesn’t happen, you need to know which are the best, and worst seasons of the year to go to Los Cabos.

If you want a hot climate every day for doing outside activities, the perfect time to travel to Cabo is from mid-May to late June which is also when the wintertime crowds have gone back home.

October and November are also nice months to plan your trip, but you’ll need to begin your hotel search early if you want to save money because it is the high season of Los Cabos, and prices are higher.

If what’s on your mind is the whale-watching spectacle, plan your visit between December and March.

The risky time when you can catch a storm is in summer, from August to September. This is the “hurricane season”, The Baja peninsula doesn’t get hit by the hurricanes that are more common on the Gulf and Caribbean sides of Mexico, but there’s always a chance that storms could hit, but don’t worry, it won’t be too strong, but if getting wet is not on your vacation plans it’s better to pick another season.

This next one way of ruining your trip is an important one because it actually has to do with your safety.

6. Not planning ahead how to go from the airport to your hotel when you arrive in Mexico

When you go outside the airport you’ll have different options for transportation and it can all be a bit confusing, especially with the sharks rounding you.

You can go with public transportation, taxis, rented cars, or private shuttle services.

Public transportation is the worst option since you won’t receive a personalized treatment, plus, you will have to wait patiently to arrive at your hotel because it will do several stops before it drops you off.

A mistake many tourists make is thinking that they can drive as if they were in their own city. Renting a car is not such a good idea, given the fact that locals in Cabo have a very particular style of driving, and by particular I mean a little aggressive, and since tourists are not familiar with the ways it can cause accidents.

Ending up at the hospital and with a bill to pay for the damages doesn’t sound fun at all.

Taxis are a good option if you are ok with paying a lot for a ride. The disadvantage of taking a taxi beside the overpricing they usually give tourists, is that you will have to go outside the airport to get it and this implies dealing with the sharks following you around.

The safest option for you to get to your hotel, is to have someone to pick you up at the airport and drive you, and I don’t mean just anyone, because you need to be very careful with who you trust when you arrive at a foreign county.

This is why we advise you to book a private transportation from home. This guarantees that you will get to your hotel safe, and that you will be comfortable and won’t get over prices because private transportation services are usually cheaper and the price won’t vary because you can pay them online the moment you book them.

To start your trip with the right foot you must have the best transportation service, one that provides someone who waits for you inside the airport so that you don’t have to deal with the sharks or any other stranger that comes up to you, and you will be safe from risks in the roads because the drivers are locals and they know very well the ways.

An option that we recommend is VIP transportation Los Cabos, they have a VIP policy that guarantees that you’ll be treated like first class, have a luxury ride and arrive at your destination safely. Plus they have a competitive price compared to other transportation services in Los Cabos.

Another advantage they have is that they will do everything possible to make you feel comfortable and like at home; they give their clients a warm welcome to México, their employs have a great work ethic, and they focus on being responsible and very friendly, but at the same time professional.

And here is the best part, they even have some cool beers and water waiting for you in the vehicle, so that you can relax and start enjoying the views of Los Cabos.

Also, you can choose the vehicle that adapts better to your travel needs right at the moment you are making your online booking. The advantage of this is that you’ll be sure that the vehicle that you choose is in great conditions and won’t leave you stuck in the middle of nowhere.

VIP transportation Los Cabos also offers to drive you back to the airport in your return, so you can cross that off from your to-do list.

When you plan in advance you are assuring the success of your trip, whether it is with transportation or any other service, you just need to make sure that they offer a good quality first, and this part is very simple, just check the trip advisor reviews and discussions.

They are certified by trip advisor so there’s no need to worry; here are some reviews from the people who have gone with VIP transportation Los Cabos:

“We had an excellent experience with VIP transportation. Jaime was waiting for us at the airport with a sign with our name on it, and transport was in a beautiful, clean, new suburban with complimentary cerveza and water on the trip! Competitively priced”

“I strongly suggest using a private van instead of a group transit. Took us straight to the hotel and signed us up for an even cheaper return trip”

https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g152516-d10358020-r450485187-VIP_Transportation_Los_Cabos-San_Jose_del_Cabo_Los_Cabos_Baja_California.html

“We visited Cabo’s and La Paz for our first family vacation and VIP transportation made everything much easier. We have a 9 month old so, being comfortable and having reliable transportation was essential. When we arrived Jaime was already waiting for us and ready to go. The suburban was clean, cool, and had drinks for us. Jaime was always very cautious when driving and full of knowledge of Cabo’s”

Trying to pick any other transportation service at last minute outside the airport could really be stressing, and give you a bad start, so just take that out of the way booking in advance here https://www.viptransportationloscabos.com/

The next way of ruining your trip is:

7. Not being careful with what you eat or drink

In Los Cabos some food might be spicier than what you are used to eat, so be careful with the amounts you eat, especially if you have stomach issues because it could make you feel sick and ruin your plans.

Also, always drink bottled water, because the regular water could bring some bacteria and upset your stomach.

You don’t need to worry about the ice cubes they use in restaurants or hotels for drinks, because the sanitary laws of Mexico demand that those come from filtered water.

8.Underestimating the power of Tequila or Mezcal

These drinks are not light drinks like wine and beer, they will definitely take you to another level of drunkenness if you don’t watch your shots, and you don’t want to wake up the next day with regrets and a hangover that won’t even let you out of bed, do you? We are not saying that you shouldn’t have fun, instead, have all the fun you want but know your limits.

9.Getting in trouble for having a little too much fun

Some tourists might feel tented for the wild party style of Cabo, especially in Cabo San Lucas where nightlife really has some magic, but you have to be careful with excesses. On one side, when alcohol gets in the way, mostly tequila (sorry tequila) troubles are more likely to occur. Whether it is a fight outside a bar or you getting hurt because you cannot even stand up straight and return to your hotel, or both, it is better to maintain a certain level of consciousness.

After all, you want to have clear memories from your trip and not just blank nights in your head, right?

On the other side, you should stay away from the prohibited substances, because they could get you in troubles with law. You might come across someone that offers you to buy weed in a very low price, or other kinds of drugs mostly if you got outside of the touristic areas, but you should know that those people are usually related to drug cartels in Mexico so stay away from that as much as you can.

10. Not being cautious about the ocean conditions, and not paying attention to warnings

Los Cabos has many beautiful beaches where you can swim but others where swimming is actually dangerous and it can be prohibited depending on how strong the current is. Still, you can appreciate the beauty in them, but remember to always stay away from the water’s edge.

For those of you who are beach lovers and love to swim, here is a list of places where you can freely go swimming, and somewhere you can do water sports.

Medano Beach is the best beach to swim in Los Cabos and do water sports. Around, you’ll find many resorts and beach bars.

Lover’s Beach which you can accessed via water (water taxi or kayak), or by climbing over the rocky hills from Solmar Beach.

Playa Chileno and Playa Santa Maria are good for swimming as well, and they have snorkeling coves.

Playa Viudas is good for swimming, but not all the time so watch out, and it also has some rocky areas to explore.

Playa Bledito is safe for swimming and for kids, and it also has some water sports.

Playa Palmilla is good for swimming too and has easy public access.  You will find a lifeguard and fishing pangas, but no water sports.

11. Not sharing with the Mexican people

You would definitely be ruining your trip if you didn’t take the chance of sharing with the Mexican people in Los Cabos. You’ll be missing a great experience that doesn’t need to be paid. A very important part of traveling abroad is enriching your knowledge and expanding your mind through intercultural exchange with natives, but many people forget how important this is and don’t really pay too much attention. Given that the community in Los Cabos is so open, warm, and willing to share with tourists, it is the perfect opportunity. So go ahead!

Many of the ways of ruining a trip come from not being well informed. Now you have no excuses for not having an amazing trip to Los Cabos.

All you have got to do is keep in mind all the pieces of advice we just gave to you; to recap very quickly: pack wisely, watch out with the waves, alcohol, food, water, and sun, travel in the best season of the year, don’t lose your important documents, don’t settle with the first price, take the chance of getting to know the Mexican people, and finally, book in advance a private transportation to pick you up when you arrive.

These tips will not only save you from ruining your trip, but they will make the Cabo experience even more pleasant than what it naturally already is.

Is It Safe for Tourist to Travel to Los Cabos – México?

Are you planning a trip to Los Cabos and have some last minute doubts on the safety topic?

Keep calm because we will walk you through it, and explain all you need to know to help you make the best choice.

Lately, there have been a lot of information out there related to safety in Los Cabos, the most concerning one come from last year’s U.S State Department’s México travel warning due to some violent incidents that occurred in the region, but hold on! There is no need to worry, since most of the information online appears out of context.

So we will go through the facts that you really need to know before traveling to Cabo, plus we will give you some extra tips to make your trip as safe and pleasant as possible.

What you really need to know

Crime rates in Cabo San Lucas are lower than in the Mexican border region; in fact, it is one of the safest spots in México. However, it has not been exempt from certain violent incidents during the last couple of years.

Last year from January to mid-July, the number of deaths rose to 159, which is why on August the United States issued a new travel warning for Mexico.

It is important to acknowledge that such incidents were related to drug gangs in México, and that all deaths have happened out in the tourist areas.

According to the Director of Los Cabos Tourism Board, Rodrigo Esponda,

The violence and shootings have not been anywhere near the tourist areas. Overall the destination of Los Cabos is perfectly safe. Thousands of tourists have been arriving every day. In the first half of this year, Los Cabos Airport has experienced a 19.9% increase in passengers. This would not be happening if Los Cabos wasn’t safe.

If anything the past violent events brought up a positive response from the Mexican authorities, and even from the private sector, who have done an extraordinary job turning down the rise of violence in Los Cabos.

The location has received over $46 million from government and private sources to support security. About 190 federal police have arrived this year to patrol the area. The private sector has invested more than $7 million to finance supplemental police training, provide equipment and operate security cameras in the whole town.

Plus now tourists can access help and support 24/7, 365 days a year in Cabo’s new CATAC offices (Tourist Assistance Centre) which is located at the Cabo San Lucas Marina.

It is necessary to clear all this information up so that future visitors really know what is going on, and realize how important their safety and full enjoyment is for everyone in Los Cabos.

And, why is that it is so important?

Well, obviously nobody wants more crime in Los Cabos, neither this beautiful place to be related with crime or murder. Instead people want it to keep being noticed for its warm and exciting vibe which makes it a must for everyone’s Travel Bucket List.

But the main reason why safety is such an important issue is because tourism is a lifestyle in Los Cabos. Without tourists, there would be nothing there since the destination was built from scratch with the purpose of bringing luxury and comfort to tourists.

Also, the determination of maintaining Los Cabos as a safe destination for tourists goes beyond local interests; the federal, state and municipal governments have invested economic interests in maintaining safety, and this is shown in all the extra support they have already brought into Cabo.

The truth is that…

Alongside with the new safety measures, tourism in Cabo keeps on growing.

    • More new hotels have been announced to open in the next three years, many of them luxury hotels, including Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and Montage Los Cabos.
    • Cabo’s golf courses, hotels, and resorts, continue to win prestigious tourism and travel awards.
  • The construction of a second international airport that will be located in Cabo San Lucas is underway; its Initial capacity will be for one million passengers.

These facts only demonstrate the effort they have put in overcoming from any situation that can make tourists feel unsafe.

Remember that:

When you are visiting a foreign country, what’s truly important is that you enjoy every minute of your trip without having to worry about your safety at all.

Here are some safety concerns to keep in mind before the party

Yes, you heard me well, if you go ahead with your trip, get ready to party because the word Cabo stands as synonym for Fiesta;  if you are looking forward to spend some awesome time in Los Cabos, it is your first time here, and still feel a little concern, listen to this:

Once you arrive, all you got to do is having the same precautions as if you were in your own city (some people tend to forget about this when they are on vacation).

Besides that, we recommend you to take into account the next safety tips which will keep you away from any risky situation, trust me!

Best safety tips that will get you ready to rock Los Cabos

Watch out with the waves

Although Cabo is known for its pacific crystal clear waters, sometimes they can be a little bit dangerous.

Some beaches of the city have very powerful reptiles and large waves.

It is possible to cool off swimming in the Sea of Cortez, at Lover’s Beach or in the bay.

As long as you adhere to the local restrictions, like the use of black flags as a reminder for visitors to stay out of the water, you will be safe. Ocean conditions may vary so just be alert.

Always party safe

Nightlife in Cabo gives you plenty of choices to have fun, here are some of the hottest spots: Cabo Wabo Cantina, Nowhere Bar, Giggling Marlin, and The Office, just to name a few. Of course tequila is the first one invited to the party, and when it gets in the way things can get a little out of control.

Usually when there are irregular situations in Cabo (Fights, accidents, arrests, crimes), alcohol is involved with it, so to avoid all that, keep this in mind:

    • Always travel in a group at night.
    • Don’t go too far from the crowded places.
    • Avoid accepting drinks from strangers or leaving your drink unattended when you are at the club.
  • It is advisable that you plan in advance how to return back to your hotel so that you don’t have to walk back to the hotel while you are intoxicated.

Although it is completely safe to walk around either city (San jose del Cabo, or Cabo San Lucas) at night, with the police patrolling constantly.

Choose wisely what you ingest

Los Cabos is best known for its rich gastronomic culture, including dishes that you cannot miss like “Tamales Fajados”.

But when we are talking about health, it’s better to play safe and be a little bit extra careful with what you ingest. Nobody likes feeling sick during vacation, right?

Some of the traditional spicy Mexican food might not be too good for your stomach, so avoid consuming foods you are not used to in big amounts; another useful advice that is going to help your stomach prevent upsets, is eating yogurt in the mornings, you welcome!

Cabo is also known for having a variety of food trucks where food is cheaper and good; just make sure they have the basic sanitary conditions before you try them.

Also, drink only bottled or purified water while in Cabo San Lucas, and wash your hands regularly to avoid developing any bacteria, especially if you have stomach issues. There have been cases of people who have sensitive stomachs and not do well from eating food that carried some sort of bacteria.

If you prefer, bring with you any meds that you think you might need, although you will find pharmacies on every block in case that you do have stomach issues during your stay.

Stay away from drugs

As mentioned before, most of the criminal activity in Mexico occurs with people who are involved with drug gangs.

Although some Americans are known for going to the south of the border to have a little fun, remember that it is illegal to buy, sell, possess or use, and the last thing you want do is to finish the party earlier and end up prisoner abroad. So stay away from cocaine, weed, and any kind of drugs.

Check the weather before your trip

Los Cabo’s weather is relatively nice and warm throughout the year since it has a tropical desert climate. But (There’s always a but) it also has hurricane season from August to October, meaning that you could get caught in the middle of a storm.

In order to avoid having to cancel your outdoor plans because of a storm, schedule your trip from May to June which is the best time to visit Cabo, considering the weather (and lower prices); the springtime weather is comfortable with temperatures around the mid-80s.

Avoid the risk of losing your valuables and documents

Keep a copy of your important documents with you

Losing your passport and visa could cause you some serious trouble at airport immigration, keeping those safe will keep you safe; so instead of carrying the originals, it’s always a good idea to keep a copy of your documents with you all the time. If anyone asks to see your documents (unlikely, but it could happen), show them the photocopy and explain that the originals are back at your hotel.

Try to leave valuables at home

I mean, if you really must have them with you, lock them in the hotel safe before heading into town. Try to carry only the necessary cash for the day, or credit cards you need while you’re out, also place your wallet in a front pocket, and keep an eye on your purse, especially when you are partying.

Remember that these are all just in case advices, nothing to be worried about.

Pick the best transportation service

Transportation and traffic are important subjects regarding safety in Los Cabos, especially at the moment you get outside the airport to go to your hotel, where you can run into the “Sharks”, people who harass you to offer and sell to you different services making you feel uncomfortable; to avoid all that, you need to pick wisely your means of transportation.

There are several ways of transportation you can use, the first one is public transportation which main mode is the Subercabos bus system, The bus works every day from 5:30 AM-10:00 PM, and it serves both, San Jose del Cabo, and Cabo San Lucas. The bus does not have specific stops; it offers a special service for tourists stopping wherever people request along the route. This service is also cheap, but sonce it is not a personalized service, it can be uncomfortable and exhausting, because of the length of the trip as well as the frequent requests for stops.

Your second option if you want a more private service is taking a taxi. You will find plenty outside the airport, but they are not cheap, the approximant cost is about $7 per mil, considering that it is a long ride from the airport to either city, it is not very advisable; besides the fact that it might be quite overwhelming to pick on which one to go, and not knowing if the prices are fair or not.

The third option you have is renting a car, and this one may not be so easy peasy. In Cabo locals have quite fame for its rapid driving style, and since you are not familiar with their particular style, neither with the roads, it could be the cause of accidents (in the worst case), or you might just get lost, and Google maps will come to the rescue.

The last transportation option you have is using a private transportation service which guarantees that you will have someone waiting for you inside of the airport which saves you from dealing with “the sharks”.

Another advantage is that you won’t have to overpay since you would have booked from home, and they usually have lower prices than taxis or shuttle services outside the airport.

A private transportation service assures that you’ll have a comfortable ride, and that you will get safe to your destiny. Booking a private transportation service is the best option, not only it’ll be good for the pocketbook but also to your wellbeing.

To help you chose the best one, here are some of the qualities that an airport transportation should have in Los Cabos:

    • Late-model vehicles that are clean and in good conditions which guarantee your comfort and safety wherever you go.
    • A responsible, punctual and trained staff that is waiting for you at the airport on time, regardless of whether your flight is delayed or not.
    • Personalized and friendly attention that will make you feel comfortable, remember that it is your first intercultural experience.
    • A certified company, in which you can trust, preferably recommended on trip advisor.
  • A service with a competitive price.

You should know that not all the private services have these qualities, if you want a quality service, you should opt for the best in the area.

In most cases your safety depends on who you trust which is why when you are hiring any service, you must have extra caution, and always look for references first.

One of the best transportation services in Los Cabos is Viptransportationloscabos.com which is officially certified by trip advisor; one of their users commented:

“Always on time, courteous, and nice clean vans. We use this service each time we go to the San Jose/Cabo area at least twice a year. Their prices are very reasonable for what you get and I would highly recommend them.”
